Ryan Tannehill: The Objective Evidence

You come to mind
Like I said above, let me know when you want to talk about the Miami Dolphins and not me. Turning one's attention to the poster is typically what happens when people have no response to the main topic that's worth a damn. :)

Do you even understand how scientific polling works?
I'd love to hear your expose' on it. Or are you just going to ask me questions instead?

The Henne poll was biased too! All polls here are biased!

That's the point! The results of any poll here reflect inherent bias, due to selective sampling!

The Henne poll was biased just like yours, to "see" a player for better than he really was! It's impossible to escape that here! :)

Like I said, to each his own.

That said, we're here to talk about the Miami Dolphins, not some guy named "shouright" on a message board. When you want to return to the Dolphins, let me know. :)

Ok, I'll take your troll bait just so I can dominate you further in this "argument"

I want you to tell me what would have made my poll more satisfactory in your eyes. Which audience should I have included/not included? I'm dying to hear you horse**** response.

OK, tried to be polite and help. Don't work here. Try to take your best shots, and look foolish. I give up.

Shoutright: making 2nd graders feel smart since May 2004

Shou..I would like to hear in your own words. Since numbers obviously mean so much to you..how many threads have you created in regards to Ryan Tannehill over the last four months?

I'm sorry I don't think your poll is as great as you thought it was. :)

That said, what would be meaningful IMO would be to provide people who have authoritative opinions (coaches, players, GMs, etc.) with a sampling of Dolphins footage and have them respond to the same poll. Now I realize that's impossible, but you asked. :)

The poll was constructed well; I'll give you that. But the sample of people answering it was inadequate in terms of providing any meaningful results. There's just no way to tease out of the results the inherent bias that exists here.

This is a glimpse of where we got something similar to what I'm suggesting here:

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-playbook/0ap2000000269528/Playbook-Dolphins-vs-Patriots

Of course that isn't a poll of various people like Sterling Sharpe, but it represents the kind of information that would be much more meaningful IMO, regardless of whether it's favorable or unfavorable for Tannehill.

Believe me, if Tannehill was tearing up the league right now, you'd see me all over this board with the same stats exalting him to the high heavens.

Don't dodge the question. And, by the way, I'm glad you don't think my poll is great. That means I'm doing something right.

So, don't dodge... Which audience should I have polled?

There isn't one you could have polled that I'm aware of. Just because there is no better available audience for you doesn't mean the audience you used was adequate in terms of generating meaningful, reliable information.

Thanks anyway. Next time do it in a PM, however, rather than on the board in which the Dolphins are supposed to be discussed.

Brilliant retort.

Now I know for sure you're full of ****.

That was the biggest non-answer answer I've seen on this thread and that's saying something.

Yes, as opposed to God and politics. However, you do make a fair point grasshopper. :)

you said:

1) the poll was well constructed, and

2) there is no better audience, yet

the data generated by the poll is useless.

What? Do you think a poll exists that is 100% unbiased? You must not know much about statistics or market research. Actually, that's now fairly evident.

Me thinks all your posts should be considered useless.

Of course you're free to think whatever you'd like. :)

If Op's point is that Tanney isn't playing well right now, it's very difficult for anyone to disagree. Whether you want to place the blame on him or spread it around to our coaches and players, how can anyone say Tanney is not performing at a slightly above average level at best?

Analogies used to support points related to the Dolphins (obliquely).

No, but we can talk about me as a diversion! ;)
