haha who cares... jesus, every GM or coach with control brings in guys that might not pan out, you cant predict the future, and sometimes that players potential just doesn't get filled... and besides stockar had 1 rough game in the preseason, dont throw him in the trash yet...

He sucked in all the preseason games so far. This is why Saban made a change.
Make no mistake about it, he was brought in to start. Now he has lost his job and is considered a stopgap failure.

First of all, the premise of this thread is wrong. Saban has the final say on all aquisitions. Rick Spielman was basically a scout up until he was fired. He gave his opinion, he scouted players, but he had no ability to choose them.

Second of all, if McDougle is considered a Spielman pick, basically ALL of our aquisitions this offseason are Spielman players. Mueller was hired in early June.

Lastly...McDougle has not been bad in every preseason game. He has made some mental errors and not gotten better, but he had some good games.

I think people link bad acqisitions with the people they just want to lay blame on. You know you cant blame Saban and get away with it so you find a way to blame spielman. Sad. People have way too much time on their hands. mcdougle had a bad game and now he is getting his wake up call. Thats all it is right now.
