Well, that wasn't me. (I know you know that, I'm just saying...)

I certainly wouldn't state that kind of hyperbole, but on the other hand, I'm not ready to throw Randy McMichael in the trash either. He really is a good person who just develops this rage when he gets drunk.

It's his drinking problem that needs to be resolved.

I'm not saying waive or cut him or anything. BUT he should be suspended and HEAVILY fined. Saban has to set an example for the rest of the team that this kind of off-field behavior WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Now- he cut Quintin Williams the day after that incident. He'll look like a hypocrite to the rest of the team if he doesn't address this with some form of discipline. Just because McMicheal is a star player doesn't mean he can do whatever and get away with whatever he wants off the field. I say minimum 3 games and $15,000.

I don't think that anyone is suggesting that we turn our backs on McMichael, I think that myself and others are suggesting that he needs help, and a suspension/fine/counseling would be beneficial for him.

Well, it's quite obvious what Saban's opinion is. There's no need to comment on that.

As far as suspensions, I still need more details. If this was just another drunken fight between spouses, (which happens so much across America, not just with football players), then he should not be.

If he deliberately harmed her, then yes. He should sit a few games.

Trashing McMichael at this point is ridiculous. None of you know what happened. If the wife says it was an accident who are you to call her a liar. This is the problem with this society. It feels it has the right to get involved with other people's business. Let the situation play out and when the facts come in then make your comments. At this stage it's just juvenille

you may be right that none of us know what happened. but the fact that there were witnesses this time, and that its the second time its happen, to just assume hes completely innocent here is naive.

I think how saban treats this situation could mean a lot towards how he runs this team. This is our best offensive player, and argueably the best on the team at times. If Saban puts his foot down hard on McMicheal it would truly show how serious hes going to be around the league.

Knowing the full story we do not. Problem the McMichael's do have. Counseling they should seek.
