Saban - The New Mr. "Standpoint"?

Saban cracks me up...I love listening to his interviews. He's much smarter than Wanny and sometimes I think he's just messing with the reporters. I love it when a reporter asks a simple question and he'll go off on a tangent that has nothing to do with football.

Reporter: Is Ricky Williams ready to play?

Saban: Well that's a question that will be relative to Ricky's conditioning and stamina. Would I ask my wife "are you ready to play Monopoly?" No..of course not...it's a silly question. It's like when it's pouring rain outside and the windows fog up because of the humidity. That's how I'm dealing with Ricky at this moment.

From a coaching standpoint, we are trying to be successful. We want to put guys in position to be effective, and to give them the greatest chance to succeed, relative to what will bring success in a team standpoint.
