Saban Wants Boo'ing to Stop

I'm a REAL FAN, and I boo my team when it needs booing.....

Thanks...

PHINZ RULE!!!

Why don't you just cheer for the other team too?

Believe me, the other teams' fans boo us enough already.

I will NEVER boo my team. They are making the best decisions as an organization. I will voice disapproval in a "COME ON!" or a "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!". booing to me is the lowest of the low, i only boo the opposing team.

Saban is scaring me with this. Just coach and don't worry about the fans and what they do!

i agree, and really, the booing is in his control, and not verbaly, the booing all depends on how he coaches and how the team performes

Why would I want to do that??

Just to let you know, I've been a Phinz fan my entire life. It's in my blood, and living down here I was basically born into it. I go the mini-camps, I go to TC, I go on the road every year to watch them, and I've been a season ticket holder for over ten years now. The only football team I cheer for / support is the Miami Dolphins....

Believe me, the other teams' fans boo us enough already.

Isn't that what football is all about???....Doesn't it come with the territory???

These guys know what it means to get booed. It means "get it in gear!!". The misconception is that the fans who don't boo think we do it out of hatred when in reality it's done out of concern. There's a big difference....

PHINZ RULE!!!

Another thing to consider....

Saban chews their ***** off when they play like garbage. You think alittle booing is going to effect them more than the abuse that Saban administers????....

PLEASE.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

I think the fans are the players' bosses and they should be able to do whatever they want. Think of them as like shareholders of a company. They can vote out management, make the stock price suffer, etc. if they don't like what they are doing down there...and if they ever agree with each other enough to do it.

Anyone who has a significant problem with fans booing needs to face the reality that public sports have been around for a LOOOONG time and the nature of the sport has been the same since the very beginning. Players do something you like, cheer, players do something you don't like, boo. Get over it and grow some testicles. If you say that the fans should never boo the team I say the fans should never cheer them either then. Fans who attend games and pay money for their tickets pay the salaries of everyone involved in the organization. If a player on the field is not playing like he is paid millions of dollars to play like, BOOOOOOO.

You think you OWN part of the team just because you are a fan? Riiiiight!!! Got a news flash for you, fans have the privilege of being able to watch their favorite team play. We have no influence whatsoever on what goes on in the business side.

Real fans DO NOT boo their team at the games! How about yelling some constructive criticism??? Booing is the lowest form of disrespect. We don't need fans like that and I would prefer the boo'ers find another favorite team, maybe the Jets?

After the season we had last year.. it would be nice now that perhaps we might more realistic expectations to cheer our team and not allow any other teams fans to come into Dolphins Stadium and drown us out.

Die waving the Dolphin flag.. even if it hurts!

We help pay their salaries. So, in that respect, we do own part of the team. Without the fans, nobody gets paid....

Real fans DO NOT boo their team at the games!

Wrong. Real fans do whatever they choose, and if booing is one of them, so be it. Cheering and booing are both part of the game of football, or any sport for that matter. I hate the term "real fans", I mean is there some kind of club for real fans, and do real fans have a special relationship with the players that other fans don't???...

I could question you being a "real fan", seeing as your location says West Virginia. How many home games do you attend on a yearly basis???...Do I have the right to question you being a "real fan" if you don't attend the games???...

You're questioning mine, and eveyone else here who boo's. Many of these people are season ticket holders, and have been for many seasons. I think those fans have earned / spent the right to do whatever they choose....

How about yelling some constructive criticism???

How about running down into the lockroom at halftime and handing out milk and cookies???....

Booing is the lowest form of disrespect.

That's just your opinion. There are many who don't agree with you. I'm one of them....

How do you hear those boo's way up there in West Virginia????

Riiiight, and shareholders are really just given the "privilege" of getting a stake in the company. Got news for YOU man, if we stop going to games, you better believe we have a serious effect on the "what goes on in the business side"

Fans are not just along for the ride. We are not just given the "privilege" of watching the games. The games wouldn't exist without us. Having players on the field playing football does not guarantee a fan base that will collectively pay millions to watch them. On the other hand, having a fan base that will collectively pay millions to watch a football game WILL guarantee that there are players on the field. Sorry man, we're their bosses.

I think the founding fathers would not particularly like your line of thinking. "Citizens are given the PRIVILEGE of voting for their government representatives. Real citizens do not disagree with or protest their government."

I just watched the PC and it's apparent that once again certain people here are blowing things out of proportion. Somebody asked Saban about his thoughts on the booing, he said it's not something he encourages but at the same time understands that in a competive game like this fans get that way and he's not gonna chastise them for it. He also said he understands that there's a responsibilty for the coaches and players to play well enough that things like that don't happen. Seriously, stop spinning things to create controversy. It gets old.

Thank you, SSnowman.

This message board is the place to vent your frustrations (and I do ALL the time). Real fans DO NOT boo their team at the games...period.

I've been a real Dolphin fan longer than you've been alive.

football fans are more like the american voter. we can decide the popular vote and some other issues with our influence, but I'll be god damned if the public gets to make important decisions.

wake up, that was thirty years ago, right now we stink and the stupid mistakes of penalties and picks for six are OLD...

You wake up and become a true fan. Fans like you who cheer when Miami is on top but boo when they are struggling. I love the Dolphins and consider them the greatest even if they are 0-16. That's what a fan is. True Dolphinites...Unite!!
