Rosenfels has earned the right to at least start one preseason game and see how he does with the starting line. Brock Berlin has also performed great. He should get a chance to go second, or start the next game. Sage was the best QB last night, and Brock was the best Monday. This is not a Frerotte and Feely bashing thread. I just think that the young guys have really stepped it up. Two times Brock has led the offence down the field in the two-minute drill, three times if you count the INT. Feely and Frerotte looked confused against the Jags. Both the young guys looked calm, and in control. The Dolphins get an extra preseason game this year; these guys (Sage, and Brock) should each get a go with the starters. If they are looking this impressive with the second and third stringers I’d like to see what they would do with the starters. Sage and Brock both look comfortable under center, and did not look ruffled when pressured. These are traits that I would like to see in the starting QB.

The Dolphins could definitely use Feely’s 3.5 million dollar contract to sure up the D and O lines. We could get several linemen for that amount of money. I expected Frerotte to be performing much better, especially since he’s been in the system for two years. I still wouldn’t cut Frerotte, he knows the system and would be good to have at the third spot. Not everyone is going to agree with this thread. Like it or not, Sage and Brock are not the ones that look like rookies out there.

I concur....

There's no doubt that Sage is looking better this off-season. As for Berlin, being the rookie he is, he's shocked me with how well he handles himself out there. He could be a keeper...

I had high hopes for Feeley this off-season, but he's proven he's still no better than a 3rd string QB. We don't need him or his salary at this stage....

PHINZ RULE!!!

I agree. After the game against the Jags, I thought Sage at least earned a shot at playing with the #1s for a series or two, and then playing with the #2s. Berlin hasn't looked as bad as minicamp reports led us to believe. I would like to see what he could do as a developmental prospect. It wouldn't be such a bad thing to send Brock to Europe to let him get some reps under his belt.

i agree completely frank B When I saw berlin the other night and he looked like he wanted the job where as feely doesn't.

No they haven't. This kind of talk is just silly.

if you give a team time to game plan and prepare for a guy like Berlin he is in a great deal of trouble. He has played well and is worth keeping on the practice squad to see if he can develop, but he would get murdered in the regular season.

Sage deserve a chance to start a preseason game but Berlin?

I personally would like to see them, more specifically Sage, get a shot running with the 1st unit. Sage, of all people, has earned that right for at least a series.

You mean Berlin has looked better in games than he has at camp. I was at camp 2 weeks ago and trust me he looked awful.

Sage just might start the 5th game but what exactly has Berlin done to earn a preseason start besides look good against players of which whom probably 80% will be cut in a few weeks? You guys are acting like he drove for the winning score against the '85 Bears.

Rosenfels and Berlin went against the same D unit at least against the Jags they did, they both had the 4th quarter

And wouldn't you agree that Jags unit in the 4th quarter was their lowered tiered players (3rd and 4th string)?
