I agree with this to the up to a point; at some point the QB has got to find a way to put himself in the right place at the right time more often than not. Otherwise, you're just an average QB with flashes of real talent. Which pretty much sums up most backup QBs. All that being said, I don't see Sage as much of a step down from Chad.
i dont think sage is a step down from henne AT ALL. at least he wasnt when he was younger. i agree with your point, but in the NFL when many franchises predetermine their starter and the 2nd string guy doesnt even take a single snap under center with the first team all season, its pretty difficult to get a shot. a couple years ago he was brought in to be the starter in Minnesota, and then they bring in Favre and there goes that opportunity. Minnesota brought him in, and THEN they buried him on the bench with no chance to ever get off the pine. he never got a fair shot here in miami either
