Salguero: Aponte clashed with Ireland, shadowing Philbin around

Aponte will be the new GM and Joe will have control over personnel.

I seriously doubt that. Neither one of them have ANY experience in the personnel department.

If that maggot would just report and write what he finds and leave out his personal spin, no one would know what a petty mental midget he really is.

He stresses all the wrong things. Who cares what Aponte tells Philbin, or that they have a good professional relationship???????????????

Yea, because you know when Aponte straightens Philbin's tie before a TV interview, it means Aponte and Ireland are clashing. What an idiot Armando is.

Aren't those good things, anyways???????????

What does that have to do with the season's losing streak?

I think his point is that Aponte is trying to turn Philbin into a wannabe Eric Mangini. Aponte was a cancer in Cleveland.

The current head coach had no head coaching experience yet he was hired. Why is experience a prerequisite for any job in Ross' organization.

I don't know why people are shooting the media here. Some of this reporting is new and interesting and it's good for me (as a fan) to understand what's going on behind the scenes so that I can properly put my head in my hands like Mike Sherman when the Bengals stomp us tonight.

He has plenty of experience coaching, which is often the prerequisite for a higher coaching position. What you are saying is someone who has never coached anywhere in his life on any level should be a coach. Thats a stretch.

So I was right in that Mike Sherman is not very popular. I don't care about the rest of the article, but that right there is validation for me

Whats new in that article? All of those non-stories had been reported long ago, and Armando decided to grab them all and merge them into one article with suspicious timing....

Zounds, I didn't know about the whole Aponte thing.

He'd be a lot more popular if he called fewer empty set shotgun plays and maybe put Mike Wallace in ****ing motion now and then to get him off press coverage but apparently he can't be bothered.

I think if Aponte were to be promoted it would be more along the lines of a 'Team President career path'.

I love how these negative things come out when the losing starts. You can just see the scum dripping from the headline. Gotta get those reader numbers.

What scouting experience does Aponte have? Her expertise as far as i know is managing the cap. If that were to actually happen i think the storm would be far from over.

Does anyone have a video of Starks flipping off the sideline after the sack?

Zounds, I didn't know about the whole Aponte thing.

Just read the guys tweets on the left hand side of the page and tell me there's no agenda. He's reported on this several times before, and usually after the Fins receive negative publicity so that his conspiracy theories such as this are more acceptable among an angry fanbase. I'm pretty sure this guys sits around reading Machiavelli's The Prince...propaganda for the people.

The Aponte stuff doesn't bug me as much as I see teams put together to help presidents and CEOs have something good to say. The bigger thing I see is that she is not on Ireland's side anymore, and since she got a promotion that's a bigger blow for him.
