This is the best new ive heard all day!

Salisbury reminds me of the Weather Guy in Anchorman.

Yeah, Salisbury about as good at ESPN as he was in the NFL.

Since one annoying sports anaylyst is gone, why not have Jim Rome join him, that would be good, I can't stand that guy, he makes salisbury look good

His contract is up. He feels ESPN isn't offering enough money. CBS, FOX, NFL Network has told him they don't want him or like his act pretty much.

ESPN NFL analyst Sean Salisbury's contract is up in August and he wants to be paid what he considers his market value.

It comes down this," Salisbury said. "Would I like to be at ESPN? Yes. Would I like to be paid my market value? Yes, because I know what that is and I know what I provide."

Salisbury's options are limited. The NFL Network, with its plethora of shows, could be an option, but executives apparently aren't fans of Salisbury's loud rants.

"We are not interested in Sean Salisbury," an NFL Network spokesman said.

Spokespeople for CBS and Fox parroted the same line.

Fox Sports Net did consider Salisbury for its new show called Pro Football Preview, but Fox Sports Net instead added ex-Giant Jason Sehorn and the recently retired Tim Brown. "We would like [Sean] to stay," an ESPN spokesman said. ESPN nor Salisbury would reveal his current salary.

The more things change the more they stay the same. He had no market value as an NFL QB, and he has none as an NFL analyst.

Wow if they could go ahead and get rid of Stephen A. Smith ESPN may be worth watching again.

I don't know what those guys make, but...

if Salisbury makes over 6 figures, he is an @$$ for wanting more money. He isn't even a full time commentator. He only has to work during football season.

This just in... Sean Salisbury to hire Drew Rosenhaus as his agent. Rumors of a potential holdout have already surfaced. Drew could not be reached for comment as he was simultaneously holding a press conference while single-handedly rescuing children from a burning orphanage. Stay tuned for late breaking developments.

Good. Let him go. This guy is a moron and belongs cleaning bathrooms, not analyzing football.

Yea. You get the feeling those TWO do not like each other at all.

It's like when both of them are on there, they always get into an argument.

Kick his *** to the curb, see what he thinks his market value is then.

He's talking like some superstar player now because he never got to while he was in the NFL :rofl3:

Thats pretty much all for show, on their radio show they seem to get along very well. To be honest, I didnt start hating Salisbury until I heard his ignorant perspectives on the dolphins. Other than that, he's really not as bad as everyone makes him out be. Although I do think the fact that he is demanding more money is laughable, he's not that valuable.

Salisbury wouldn't bother me so much if he wasn't such a tough guy. If you disagree with him he gets ready to throw down. I honestly can't stand the guy and I hope he gets sent to the unemployment line!

I can't stand him either. I don't think he started out that way on ESPN.

Now everything is the BEST!, the BIGGEST!, a Definite Probowl Player, Canton enshrined etc...

He has absolutely no perspective on anything. He blows everthing completely out of proportion. He's like Merril Hoge only much worst, and he doesn't have the excuse of having post concussive syndrome like Merril does...:fire:

I like his knickname though, "The Hammer". It's perfect for him...
