Sapp content but check out last sentence...

Vontae got beat a couple times where the receiver couldn't come down with it. One was a deep ball to Welker the other to Slater. I don't remember if Smith was beat deep besides the play when he cramped up. I think that last sentence is taking it a little far. They did not play great, but saying they got beat multiple times makes it look like they played as bad as Sapp and they did not.

Vontae was gone before the half I think but it's always nice to see the AP kick a team when they're down. Very professional.

I saw him get beat a few times in the 1st half including one long pass.

sean smith is highly overrated and I dont understand what he has done to give him this status of an "elite" cornerback, his 6"3 frame is a problem and his ability to rotate his hips quick enough with that height is an issue, he was benched his rookie year and last year for jason allen, he played good in 5-6 game stretch last year at the end of the season and batted a few balls down and got his first pick, besides that he is always trailing his WR and he cant even cover TE's, he should have been moved to FS by now!

This!

I wanted a corner to be taken in the draft. This is a passing league and Miami need another top draw CB to play with Vontae. I know it`s early but I sure want a cb taken early next draft!

Thank you and for the life of me i don't get it...Welker is a quick guy not a deep threat so your going to allow him a free release, hopefully guess where he's going to go and hope your quick enough to get there before he, a quick player, gets there? ridiculous as opposed to putting your hands on his little doonkey-butt dictating his routes? minimizing his quickness? Same goes with the TE allowing them free release as opposed to playing in their body?

i'm right there with ya...i just don't get it...i'd be willing to bet that the jets who give that offense fits by the ways play them like they do everyone else...in your face physical knock you on your butt at the los no matter who you are...as much as possible...i don't see why we don't have the personnel to do the same...yeah they'll still make plays but you mess with the timing brady has and guys feel like they have to work to get into their routes...not this patty cake trail guys all over the place stuff

the deep ball to slater vontae was playing outside technique and reshad jones bit on the underneath te when he was supposed to provide inside vertical help...that ones on reshad all the way

Yea the Slater play in specific was on Jones. They even singled him out on the replay. Smith didn't do anything to stand out from any of the other DB's, and that's kind of scary. A lot of that game was Brady just being a ****ing beast and taking huge advantage of the small things. AP can say anything they want of our DB's even if it's only mildly true because we gave up record numbers. Not one Dolphin showed up on D except for that one INT and the one sack. Our d-line got trounced our DB's got smoked, our LB's got owned and decided not to tackle. It was a debacle all around.

Be it as it may, but he's not terrible against TE as stated in the post especially in compaison with other players on the team, Y.Bell anyone?

Please tell me you're not another person trying to make it sound like Bell is terrible?? I think too many of us are just so upset about our D being thrashed that we just reach for anything to blame. Bell is one area that is NOT to blame and is a beast at his position. Just look at the numbers.

Bingo! But let's remember guys we had a pretty good D last year and we all expected better last game. My view is that we are not talking offense (although we need to relook at what we are doing deep in the red zone IMO) so that's a good thing and I have faith in Nolan to get things ironed out with the D. There is still a ways to go but things are pointing in the right direction.... I hope!

Im pretty sure Coach Nolan was a big part of us being ranked 6th in defense last year. You have to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Horrible game from the defense but we will be fine. Nolan will make the adjustments that need to be made. This week against the Texans we will see if we can learn from our mistakes. I think too much blame is being put on the defense and not enough credit to the Pats offense. Are they really that good? YES THEY ARE! Brady is the best QB in the league so you have to say he has one of the best offenses. Jamming everyone at the LOS is not the solution. This isnt Madden guys. It takes alot out of a DB to jam on every play and we barely had enough energy to play off the receivers. It wouldve been alot uglier if we jammed the whole game.

Go Phins!

Yeah I thought it could be that way, but I was too busy throwing stuff around the room and yelling at my tv to notice specifics.

I could be mistaken, but wasn't Sapp the guy that broke up the pass for our INT? There is a lot of blank to go around, and that and the one sack were the only bright spots.
