Save Ronnie?

Who's Sean Salisbury in your sig? And what's his address? :fire:

he is an ESPN analyst that has the same football knowledge as your average fan.

Fishfan34 raises a good point though. Ronnie only made himself familiar with our scheme at mini camp. I think he should better prepare himself before facing a defence such as the steelers, which could possibly hurt his confidence.

Let him sit out, or bring him in against the steeler's 3rd string d with or 1st o line. What do you think? Should boost his confidence!!

I'm also bringing it up because the media here in Tampa LOVED the fact that Gruden held Caddy out for their first game. They know he's their starter and their franchise back. Let the others get in there with the first teamers and see who you can count on should there be an injury to your first or second team RB. We know that Ronnie and Ricky are our top two, forget what the depth chart says... who's going to be #3, play Ronnie a few plays, use him as a decoy and let him run onto the field for the first time in front of the home crowd and let the stadium rock.. I understand everyone's point of view as far as, he needs to play and all, but, I don't think one more week will make the difference in him standing in Canton in 10 years or him calling up Ki-Jana Carter for the classified section under employment..

I agree with the points you make however I feel we should get him into the game. If not for just four or five plays. He's a young guy, fit, strong, but has been out of physical game action longer than other NFL players and I think he needs to get in there and get the monkey off his back.

He's been studying the playbook while holding out so he should know his assignments

He's in good shape, and even ricky said today he see's why hes the #2 pick.

The fact is this game is WAAAAYYYY different then at auburn and he needs to start to grasp the speed of the game. Injuries are a possibility on every play including in practice so there's not extra risk by geting him in a preseason/scrimage game. I would send him out there for a series or two to really get to FEEL the NFL Plus a few hits for holding out never hurt
