Schedule Breakdown...who Are We Honestly Better Than??

Okay, I'll play along....

Regular Season Results

1 Sun, Sep 11 Denver W (questionable D-line, good-at-times qb play, champ bailey can't cover Booker, Boston and Chambers at the same time)

2 Sun, Sep 18 at NY Jets L (away game, martin and pennington will be healthy) Close game though.

3 Sun, Sep 25 Carolina L (They are just a man's team, we're still children in comparison) Running game, deep passes, and solid D, but a close game.

4 BYE WEEK I see another mini-camp from Saban to correct things gone wrong so far.

5 Sun, Oct 9 at Buffalo W (Qb issues, solid run game and defense...close game) Losman is a rookie starter, Phins come out of bye-week with new wrinkles on defense/offense.

6 Sun, Oct 16 at Tampa Bay W (aging D, Griese is questionable, gotta stop the run) Looks about right.

7 Sun, Oct 23 Kansas City W (OL are huge, green will have all day, Priest??) How much better is the Chefs D? A shootout game, tough win at home.

8 Sun, Oct 30 at New Orleans W The Saints just never learned to use the talent they have.

9 Sun, Nov 6 Atlanta W Vick is good, but Saban will have a defense ready for him. Force Vick to stay in the pocket and pass.

10 Sun, Nov 13 New England W (i think we win this one, Belechick(SP?) vs saban, I think injury finally hits them) HUGE game for Saban and the Dolphins. Phins step it up to please new coach. Win by FG.

11 Sun, Nov 20 at Cleveland W (this team is horrible all over the board) Not even a close game this time.

12 Sun, Nov 27 at Oakland W Lots of Raiders offense, little defense.

13 Sun, Dec 4 Buffalo L (we will swap wins and losses with all the AFCE this year) Losman doesn't kill them with a critical TO.

14 Sun, Dec 11 at San Diego L (face it, 12-4 for a reason last year. THey are good, LT, Brees, young good WR) Coast-to-coast trips catch up to exhausted Dolphins.

15 Sun, Dec 18 NY Jets W (Fiedler will lose it for them...) Decent odds Penny is out for this game. Jay is Jay.

16 Sat, Dec 24 Tennessee W McNair plays hurt (as usual this time of year) and they just don't have enough talent on O or D.

17 Sun, Jan 1 at New England L (we lose in the snow. Pats get last second FG, in a game Phins keep close)

So, is that 11-5? :D That means the last game is for the Divison, which will hurt. If they find a way to sweep the Pats, then it becomes a miracle season as the Phins go on to win the Big Dance!

Nice Break down, but You've got us winning 8 games straight...that's always a tough thing to do, but I enjoyed the write up...solid thoughts and I think you are right on with the atlanta game...stopping vicks scrambling is gonna be key...that and having our secondary playing all the way till the whistle...cause we both know Vick will buy himself extra time when he can.

I understand what you are trying to do with this but on the same hand, if all the games where decided on what is on paper what would be the point of playing the game? On paper we might be one of the worse teams and still might go out and play great all year. The Pats were never the best team on paper and look what that got them.

I know it's just guessing as of now, but I was just wondering if people had to go based on fact alone...maybe as if they had to bet $1000 on the games then how would they see them going and why. I saw a lot of 12-4 picks and playoff bound talk and so I wanted to know what led them there. That's where the "on paper" thing came from

Not trying to bust your balls by any means but next time you think about making a post like this. Do alittle homework, it may just seem like a little thing to get someone's first name mixed up but obviously everyone thought you were talking about someone else and for you to argue with them so much when you were wrong is obviously gonna bring out the wolves. Not to mention some of your reasoning behind the games, "Tennessee is good" ????? :D

yeah I get your point for sure. I should have spent more time on it, guess I got jumpy when people were ripping the thread instead of addressing the point of the thread. As for tennessee though, I've read 3 or 4 articles and heard two guys on ESPN radio both agree that they have had a B+ offseason, not to mention Bennett and Calico and Antoine Smith(although I've heard rumors that he might not be ready)...put them together with a healthy mcnair and they are good. They averaged a lot of points per game last year too.
