Scheffter on Mike and Mike

Maybe I'm crazy but cleaning house is a good thing. Ireland has been given many chances to prove himself and continues to fail. Philbin seems like a nice guy, but that means nothing in the NFL. Winning is what matters. This scandal is doing us ALL a favor since because there is a good chance we get to start over.

Normally starting over sucks cause who knows when you can turn it around. But in todays NFL it doesn't have to be years IF the right people are put in place. Problem is, can Ross find those people? I question whether he is capable of getting this right.

If we wind up cleaning house I hope Ross forms a Dolphins committee( former players and Coach Shula) and let them pick the next GM and coach or make a recommendation at least, after a long search .

I was trying to buy into Philbin at some level but he has lost me.

1. Sweeping the Incognito golf club sexual assault under the rug, while then getting rid of Chad Johnson and Vontae Davis, shows a level of hypocrisy that is offensive.
2. The lack of leadership, or worse yet, wrong leadership, in the locker room is on him.
3. He is out of touch with the locker room.
4. I question his motivation skills. He allegedly has to read from cue cards to the team in the post game? That is freaking unbelievable. You don't have the passion and fire to charge up your team? Beyond that, how many times does the team fall flat on its face coming out of the locker room?
5. He is the opposite of Shula on the "take his'n and beat yours'n and take yours'n and beat his'n." He expects his players to adapt to his scheme entirely, without sufficient adaptation to what the players excel in or, conversely, aspects in which they struggle.
6. Everything is so predictable. As an example, Mike Wallace doesn't move around.
7. Is there a worst team in making adjustments coming out of the half?
8. He stubbrnness with certain personnel is ridiculous. Like good God, man, how many times do we need to see Daniel Thomas go wide parallel to the line of scrimmage. He can't solve problems this way. I mean, 3rd and 1? Can't solve it all year.
9. The team invariably collapses at the end of games. What percentage of pass plays in the final minutes lead to sacks? It's ridiculous.
10. Overall, how many teams do we need to see this team get drubbed by inferior opponents (getting killed at home to Tennessee last year, the loss to Buffalo at hime this year, the Tampa loss, etc). These things are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

It wasn't Joe who paid the poor girl off. It was probably Ireland and the attorneys. Joe then gets told that the matter has been resolved and besides, Richie offers great leadership and takes a personal interest mentoring the young O-linemen. Richie gets a rap on the knuckles, promises to be a model citizen and heads to the strip club for a team meeting.

Bottom line is fins knew something and didn't act on it, they never thought It blow back in thier face. Get rid of Ireland and Philbin if that's what's needs to end this and put it behind us

And, what GM worth his salt would agree to be saddled with someone else's guy?

The Panthers and Giants both had cases of hiring new GMs who pretty much told their coaches that they'd each get 1 more year to prove themselves. Idzik did it with the Jets this year as well.

It's not unheard of. At the same time a few years ago Wayne Huizenga promoted Rick Spielman to GM because everybody we interviewed told him that they would not work with Wanny as HC
