Schefter: Dolphins harassment stretches all the way up to management

what on gods green earth watching him play EVER makes you think he'll sniff $50 mil contract as a pro??? don't tell me you think that he'd be an all pro if not for this harrassing...the guys not that level spesh...nor will he ever be...hell if he wasnt on a rookie contract and cheap i doubt he'd be back next year before all this...his cheap contract is the only thing that makes him an asset

he was closer to playing himself out of the league than playing into it long term right now...

this is a guy that has never been told he's not the man getting told he's not and not being able to handle it and deal with it...call it a mental illness call it whatever you want i call it find another profession

I assume he would think hes capable of being a great pro. I would assume he would be filling a lawsuit on the max he could have possibly earned.

What he is actually worth is irrelevant. If we are talking lawsuit, he would go for bank. And, because the NFL is simply better at court, he would walk out with the equivalent to a veteran minimum salary. Which is why he knows its in his best interest to go along with it through his rookie deal. Unfortunately, some sadist came in and pushed him to the brink by week 24(or whatever) and he got the **** out before he snapped and shot up the joint. Like what is happening in countless other work environment where "manhood" is preached over "professionalism".

seriously...can you quit with the dumb stuff...

if cog had sent me that kind of message and i was african american and i worked with him yeah we'd find some things out...not me go shell up and save the messages to use as ammo for personal gain...

martins embarrassing...and now we can't even cut him cause it would look bad...when the guys mentally a midget and does his job poorly...

i can see where this is all headed...i hope that piece of **** martin never shows his face in an nfl lockerroom again

Yeah, we'd find out that -- unlike this guy you think you're going to go fight -- you don't beat the **** out of 300 pound men for a living. As I recall you work in an office.

Hoops, you're one of the best posters on here, but I think you're off base with this one.You mention feeling bad for your kids, but if if one of them was being bullied at school, would you rather they dealt with it themselves and punched the other kid (risking suspension, possible criminal charges etc), or would you rather tthey told you so you could handle it appropriately?

All this macho BS about Martin should have handled this himself etc. He sought advice from his family, took himself away from the situation and then let the management know what was going on.That is pretty much a textbook way that an adult or child should deal with such a situation. Why should martin put himself in physical or criminal danger by turning this into a physical alteration. I'm sure he'd liked to have talked to teammates about it, but I'm guessing 'big weirdo' didn't have too many close buddies on the team he felt comfortable with.

honest answer...i would have told my kid to knock him into next week...my wife wouldn't approve but all that glad handling doesn't help things...rearranging a bullies face does i have found

i guess that's possible but i would hope that martin had a better head on his shoulders than that...although if he did i'm sure someone would try and justify it due to bullying

Indeed. The better solution was violence to prevent violence.

Sounds legit.

how bout just no guns...then everyone lives...not everyone grabs an ak every time they have a meet me in the school yard moment...despite what the media etc would like us all to believe

Are you under the belief that fists cant cost lives?

You know who has an expert opinion on the matter? Incognito, lets ask the "dirtiest NFL player" if he thinks people should punch one another. While we cant actually ask him, we can ask his father. Close enough.

he's a dirty player on the field...so is shane battier for the heat in hoops...so what??? yeah i know fist can cost lives but i would hope that no one would get beat unconscious also...some restraint would be nice...

anyways i'd be surprised reading your posts if you've ever been in a confrontation in your life...that's not my experience growing up

So hes a dirty player on the field...and its cool that hes a dirty person off the field? What exactly were you going at with that point?

So no guns, no torture, beatings acceptable, but not to many beatings...look at you. Your the one trying to draw up lines in what is "manly" and unacceptable. Beatings okay, to many beatings not. How about people act like professionals?

And im not all shocked that your surprised. My manhood isnt tied up into proving to other people how much of a badass i am. My manhood isnt tied up into random people talking about how "tough" i am. My manhood isnt tied up into beating people with my fist(but only so much beating!). My self-esteem isnt dictated to by other people. How i view myself is a personal thing. I dont need outside validation for that. No doubt thats "surprising".

Honestly Martin was a bitch about it I mean c'mon people are blasting philbin for not taking care of martin Martin is a ****ing grown man if he's got a problem talk to the coach before you just decide to quit especially the way he is doing it

Why talk to the coach, when you can run home and cry to mommy?

Disgusting behavior, **** that guy. Giving mommy private texts/voicemails so she can give to the media too. Good luck being trusted in any locker room again(not that it matters because he completely sucks and noone wants him). Imagine the kind of effect d-linemen will have on him now that they know how mentally weak he is.

Nothing like Richie and his father did, amirite?

I believe they are all 300+ pound men. I also believe Martin is 2 inches taller than Cog. Martin has nothing to fear physically from Cog. If he fears a smaller man, he has far more serious problems than any of us can imagine.

Going to compare richies dad posting his thoughts on a forum compared to Martin leaving the team mid week only to go to his mom and have her ignite a ****storm through the national media? Oh yea and with no communication to Philbin, Incognito or anyone else because the dude is mentally inept and doesn't know how to socialize.

Cool dude.

Richie's dad made the news.

National media firestorm! We should cut Richie.

...unless you can think of some reason why we shouldnt? Can you think of a reason Aryan Nation?

Being 300 pounds doesn't mean you know how to fight. Incognito is a well known rageaholic who's stronger than Martin and loves to brawl. I don't care who you are, those guys are scary. It's like the say, it ain't the size of the dog in the fight. It's the whether one dog has rabies.

I was just having some fun with my pal hooshoops who apparently thinks he would get in Incognito's face if Incognito said something to him when when that's laughable. "Hell yeah I could take on an MMA fighter if he crossed me. I don't mess around." I just get a kick out of that. Sure, bro.
