Schefter: Kubiak high on Fins radar

Can can come here and get the offense clicking then go job hunting for HC as the memories of this season in Houston fade.

Simple Question would he be an Upgrade over Sherman?

most definitely

since schefter is reporting it, im sure it was something......

you know what, i cant think of an insult right now but schefter sucks!

Kubiak won a playoff game a couple of years ago with TJ Yates as his starting QB. Andre Johnson and Matt Schaub can't stay healthy, and I honestly don't think they have incredible blue chip talent on that offense outside of AJ.

Ben Tate? Arian Foster? Solid players, but like the RBs Kubiak worked with in Denver, you think maybe they're products of a system? They just plug guys in there and they look great.

Anyway, I've mentioned before that I'm not sure I buy the "Houston has amazing talent" argument. At the very least, I don't think Houston has amazing talent on the offensive side of the ball. We'll see what happens with Bill O'Brien, but I think coaching was a big part of that team's success.

I'm not a Kubiak fan, had a SB caliber team and never got close in Houston. What QBs has he developed?

That's pretty short-sighted. A good offensive coordinator and play caller sometimes may not have what it takes to become the CEO-type managing head coach in today's NFL. We're looking for a vast improvement in the system, play-calling and awareness of down and distance over the past two years. Kubiak would certainly bring that.

Cam Cameron proved to be a not-so-great head coach on both levels. But I sure as hell love what he's doing in Baton Rouge right now as the offensive coordinator.

Well at least we know RT would be a bootleggin SOB

I agree with nyjunc that I wouldn't be a fan of his - as a head coach - but he's coming here for OC? I would have him in that role in a heart beat. He's an excellent offensive mind, just a mediocre head coach.

With that said, he'll most likely get a head coaching gig somewhere.

he won one playoff game w/ Yates against the Andy Dalton bengals at home.

They had SB talent for years and never got close, they only made 2 postseasons.

I understand being an OC and HC are 2 different things but he never did anything to impress me as an OC, he was riding Shanahan's coattails and the only big time O's they had were when TD and Elway were playing, I have never been high on Kubiak.

didn't Cam get fired midseason last year in Baltimore and the O took off after he left?

A couple years back didn't Houston have the # 1 passing as well as # 1 rushing offense in the conference ? The guy can run an offense for sure.

They sure as heck beat us every time we played.

Kubiak or Turner would be nice

Turner is the better OC, I wouldn't want you to get him.

I don't believe that has ever happened.
