Schefter on mike & mike, thinks miami has a good team.

and kdawg...new england runs a spread o pretty much anyways...you don't think that belichick knows the likely weaknesses of the offense he himself run and if we show our hand during halftime can make the necessary adjustments??? i do

I just wonder how are we going to run the ball this year with 2 guards that can't pull. I mean, are we going to just run straight ahead on every down? and in order to run it inside you have to trow deep from time to time so who are we going to trow it deep to? I'm hoping Gates will get a chance but with all our 2 wr's set when is he going to play?

Ozzy rules!!

Well he couldn't/wouldn't adjust to the Giants pass rush a few years back, sometimes he is stubborn but you are probably right.

Really! At least we've beaten the Pats before HOUSTON owns us.

THIS is the season that nonsense stops....statistically it has to!

I'm excited for the season to begin. I'm excited to see Devlin in preseason and super excited to see how our offensive calls and formations have changed.

I'm actually glad we got New England early . . . that is the best way to catch those guys off guard. With the addition of some speed this season and Henning gone, Henne is going to have to throw deep and force teams to adjust. That will make the running game more effective and allow Reggie Bush to have more of an impact as a WR out of the backfield. Teams shortened the field on us all year and we had nobody in the backfield that could make a defender miss and pick up extra yards.

That first game will be a huge measuring stick for where we are at and what kind of offense we are going to see this year.

The last time NE lost a game in week 1 was 2003 and that's the only year of the Brady era that they started 0-1.

We have a pulling center in Pouncey! :)

True they are tough week 1. However in 09 Buffalo had them against the ropes and had it not been for a very bad play by their idiot kick returner they lose another one. But coulda, shoulda woulda's don't change the facts.

Did Greenberg's and Golic's head explode, because weren't they just saying how bad things were in Miami? Not a real big fan of Schefter ever since he went to ESPN. Seemed to get real full of himself, but I guess that means he just fits in.

He is 100% accurate though, Miami is a very good team, they just have question marks at quarterback. There is still a chance Henne could become a solid starter(I have my doubts) since this will be only his second season he is entering as a starter.

This team has the foundation of a playoff team. Likely top 5 defense, solid receivers, new offenseive scheme, revamped rushing attack and what I see as a much improved offensive line(even with Colombo at RT). With Henne, this is likely a 9 win team and will be competing for a playoff spot. It is not doom and gloom like some here expect.

And it is not always lollipops and rainbows like some on here think as well.

The FO promised us to upgrade the QB position and bring it completion and we get Matt Moore….REALLY.

The Dolphins do have a great defense, but that is not enough. Revamped Offense?!?!....We will see about that. We all know what kind of offense Sparano likes. RUN RUN RUN…..FG….. I have a feeling that the offense won’t open up as much as some of you think.

The Dolphins are so close to being a serious contender. QB and coaching staff minus Nolan are holding this team back big time.

They have had some close games during that span . . . I just think there is a better chance of us stealing a game against them early than catching them midseason when they hit their full stride. But maybe they could slam us week 1 as well.

For the record, Golic wasn't there. Schefter was filling in for him with Greenie. I turned it on right in the middle of the conversation about Miami but I heard Greenie say that adding Reggie Bush is like putting a pair of nice shiny rims on a crappy car, or something like that. Schefter said basically what the OP paraphrased. He said Miami just needs a quarterback and they have good young players on defense, the offensive line, and some playmakers. He said Henne could still be that qb but isn't so sure. Greenie didn't sound convinced.

That was Brady's first game back from injury though.

First or second time for everything :d-day:

I'm not saying you can't win but they always seem to get off to good starts, that will be a tough game and if you do win it will be really tough to come back 6 days later and beat Houston but if you do? It will be a different 2-0 than last year.

Here's my prediction and it's not negative we don't make the playoffs we fire the coaching staff hire Bill Cowher and draft a QB. I want to win as much as anyone but we have a lame duck coach QB with zero confidence getting booed at practice a new OC with very little time to implement his system and a really good defense that again will become frustrated with lack of production from offense.
