Because he quit on the team. For me Martin felt safe enough to return to practice after April. What changed from April to late October?

Wrong!

It is only Philbin's fault if Martin showed him proof, txt and voice mails of what he claimed and Philbin did nothing. If Martin simply told Philbin what he claimed was going on then no IMO it's not Philbin's fault.

We also have to remember here, the union has to be involved in here and if Martin didn't inform his union rep in April, Martin IMO looks really bad.

I mean I'm not gonna change your mind. You obviously believe a man's a man and a man doesn't have weaknesses. If you're like that good for you. Not everyone is, the fact that they're both as bad in your book is a pretty asinine viewpoint as far as I'm concerned but to each their own. I literally saw dozens upon dozens of posters defending Cog up until this news broke, so clearly you haven't been looking to hard. We should weed the idiots out of our society (we have less here in Canada, but you get the picture) and support people that at least aren't piece of **** human beings from **** upbringings. But ya Martin is soft, probably doesn't have the right attitude to make it in the league, it doesn't make Cog any less stupid and socially challenged.

So Martin is so enlightened and great...But he steals teammates cars.....And that's ok.

I personally would be much more upset if somone stole my car than said some bad words to me.

What's hilarious is that the union will be legally bound to defend them both.

We're not talking about society here IMO. We are talking about this PC crap that is running out of control trying to invade the NFL locker room. Please do not get me wrong, once Cog left voice mails and txt's he went way over the NFL line. But hazing and bullying of some form has always taken place in the NFL and prob always will. These are men that are not wired like you or me. They make a living beating ppl up, and running into walls basically. Anyone who does that to begin with has to have a wire short some where to begin with. And again, Cog appears to be the extreme example of this.

The media will run with this because if it bleeds it leads and the anti-bullying agenda the left is currently pushing.
 
Evidently Incognito was a very aggressive locker room homosexual whose advances were rebuffed by Martin. All this talk about putting things in his mouth, etc. It's OK to be gay, Richie! Just be honest and come out and you'll feel much better. Your dad might not love you any more, but you will feel sooo much better about yourself. Please remember though, no means no!

You mean this story...? Not gonna lie had not been aware of it, but it's very clearly some group prank. It's not a personal attack, it's a practical joke. There's no lasting negative psychological impact. We evolve as a society, some people slower than others, but you can bull**** with your buddies and not overdue it.

I see. So, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle which is a felony in the state of Florida, is just a joke and a group prank.
How do you know it has no lasting impact?

I agree with you. This is a hypersensitive situation which is going to be spearheaded by hypersensitive people. That's just the world we live in now. I'm not saying that Martin isn't a little mentally weak for the high pressure job he has. Not everyone's cut out for it. What I'm saying is stupid people, Cog being one, need to have the social skills to realize what they can or cannot say around people. You can be out there and over the top, I consider myself someone like that a good amount of the time. But I know who I'm interacting with, and I know what is comfortable and uncomfortable.

Hey you're talking to someone who think's it is all stupid. But nobody here values mental health that much, consistent berating is likely going to lead a snap more than a guy thinking his car has been stolen for 20 minutes or however long.
 
I find it laughable that so many of you are critical of Martin for being what you perceive is a pansy, yet you are also critical he didn't blow the situation up 7 months ago. You don't take him seriously even when this has been going on for 7 more months and you wonder why he didn't go to the union then, yet I can only imagine just how you would have reacted then.

It's pretty obvious that Incognito left the proverbial line in the dust after he crossed it, and just because a guy isn't a nutjob like him who wants to settle it behind the dumpster after practice doesn't mean he is unfit to play in a professional league.
