In my opinion as an average joe shmoe fan:
Offense-
I think the offense is just looking too predictable. I sat there w/ my friends and we called several straight plays before they happened. Qb wasn't spreading the ball around enough, missed some open targets, looked rusty. We relied on Marshall too much. Granted, perhaps it was a vanilla scheme since his knowledge of the offense will be less than henne's.
No creative playcalling to create mismatch problems. Much too conservative. I think the only curve ball play was when they threw a screen pass to Fasano lol. Very conservative stuff with coaching jobs on the line.
Defensive-
No pass rush. With all that supposed talent, the d-line just can't cut it. I'm also starting to question the player leadership. On the play were Dansby leaked out to cover the RB (where Sanchez ran up the middle), a line call should/could have been made to have the dline pinch the center. From the replay it looks like they were left to stunt.
No exotic blitzes to compensate for lack of rush either. Nothing opposite of Wake's side for sure.
I can't tell if they lack the drive in the second half / giving up, or if they just lack the talent.
Whats your 2 cents? Is ther also anyone w/ some coaching / football experience can tell us fans what the team is doing wrong from a schematic play calling standpoint?
