I think I have to elabroate on what some of us are thinking, just not posting. This whole offseason we have had two real concernes on defense, DT and Safety. It is begining to look like our DT woes are resolving themselfs but we still do not have a solid strong saftey to anchor our secondary. For a while it looked like we would have to work with scraps and hope for the best. Now a few weeks before training camp starts a top notch safety falls out of the sky like a gift from god, are we going to let him slide? I hope not. If we get Schulters we are looking pretty sweet at safety. Jones and Schulters along with Madison, Howard and Danials is not a bad secondary. If we dont sign him we are looking at Traveras Tillman starting. Saban cannot let this oportunity go. Go for the kill

i choose... i choose... both

Lance, no doubt. Alot of good CBs out there that can come cheap Ex: T-Buck. But theres not alot of good safties. Plus I think our CB position is still solid, even though we lost Poole.

A good corner is always more valuable than a good safety. With Sam Madison good but losing a step, we're going to need someone steady on the other side. If Law is healthy (and that's obviously a big question), he's the more valuable player.

Is there any chance we could get the both of these guys, and still draft Manuel Wright? Our defense would be set.

I think Law would have to climb out from the clouds and sign a manageable one-year deal. Does anyone know what kind of contract Schulters is looking for in terms of $/years?

I think Wright would come fairly cheap seeing he's a supplemental pick, if he goes in the 3rd round, he wouldn't break the bank.

As a Bills fan I would much rather see you sign Law. He has had injury problems in the past and is now getting up there in age(31).

Lance is nasty, he has been underated for years now.

I would definitely go with Ty Law, if we could afford him..

Dolphins are more at need in of a cornerback, then safety right now. If we get another great CB to start in Surtain's old position it would fill that hole that Will Poole can not longer fill, due to his injury.

Lance is already healthy, we NEED a safety, and he coule provide better long term service... I go with Lance, get through this season with Howard, Edwards ( OH GOD! ), and Daniels (will pleasently surprise), and then just welcome Will Poole back next season...

EVen with the loss of Poole and Surtain, we have 1 very good, and 2 other good CB's, on top of that a rookie who knows Saban's Defense, who should turn into a good player later in the year. I say without a doubt we would have to go Saftey. IMHO I feel we have questions on the OLine (which should already be fixed with Houck), at QB (Feeley has to prove himself more in the first quarter of the season, and at Saftey (just a gap there after T.Jones). Schulters all the way. Law won't be a pro bowler again in his career.

i think schulters is more of a need...tillman is a huge ???...there are still other corners out there albeit not in laws league...we have no depth at safety...someone posted that we should just cut howard now since he will probably get cut next year anyway and sign law and schulters...does anyone know how much we would save by cutting howard right now???
