Ty Law, this guys is a top flight corner. Shulters is a nice safety but Law when healthy is a force on Defense. I would take my chances with Bell and Tillman if we had Madison and a healthy Law on the otherside.

Lance gets my vote. CB position may be a prob with Poole out. He'll be back next season. Safety is a must concerning veteran experience this coming season.

I gotta go with Lance here. We deeply need a FS and i think that Howards, Daniels and Edwards can do a fine job filling in for Poole for a year. Bell can't stay healthy to be a strating FS and Tillman is very little experience at being a starter.

Looking at Pioli's track record, I'd be wary to invest in a player the Pats let go.
Also the Pats showed last year that your rock in the secondary can come from the safety position (Rodney Harrison), you can scheme around a weaker CB.
That being said, Ty Law at 85% is still better than Lance Schulters at 100%.
Wherever Nick thinks our biggest hole is (CB or S), it should be filled.
I'd be happy with Schulters, but excited with Law.

Ty Law only played 8 games last year and was scheduled to make like 8million plus this year. With Brady's contract being redone they had to let Law go for caproom.

I like Schulters on a relatively long term contract (3 years). Law would be a one-year veteran's minimum stop-gap, but he would be leaving Miami in 2006 for greener pastures. Does having a healthy Ty Law in 2005 win us a super bowl where not having him would lose us a shot at it?

I think we may be more than a Ty Law away from a serious run in 2005. So, if it came down to using money longterm on Law or Schulters, makes more sense to take Schulters.
