Peterson drafted the core of Kansas City's good players (Hali, Albert, Flowers, Charles, Bowe). Pioli did very little in the draft, hired a bad coach in Todd Haley and traded for a bad quarterback in Cassel.

Id take a chance on Scot McCloughan.

Save for Kaepernick, Aldon Smith, and 2 lineman he largely built the 49'ers. He was fired for "personal reasons". Hes spent the last few years in the Seahawks front office and was in the running for the Oakland job.

Pioli is from the same Parcells NFL philosophy as Jeff Ireland.
