Gun offenses have a 3-year mandatory minimum in Florida. If he's convicted, he's done in the NFL.
 
Maybe he will learn not to be a moron anymore. I knew that he could get a few years, but I didn't know he could get up to 46.
 
Reminds me of the Lawrence Taylors of the leagues. Throw away good talent for what? Nodda!
 
I'd say there's a 0% chance of him getting all 46 years whether he's rich and famous or not. I'm guessing he'll probably make some sort of plea bargain where he'll get little or no jail time and probably be on probation for the rest of his life probably. Who knows... I wasn't aware of that mininum 3 years in Florida for gun offenses but I can't see him getting that kind of jail time unless he actually murdered and/or raped someone or something alone those lines.
 
Sean Taylor is a total waste. Even if he does not face jail time, he will at some point for something equaly as stupid. Look, I cannot blame rookies and young player for setting themselfs back some (Kellen Winslow JR for example), hell, if I came straight out of college a celebrity with unlimited money at my disposal, you can bet your bottom dollar I would do stupid things as well. Sean Taylor on the other hand, is not immature. Sean Taylor is a criminal and deserves to do time

Oh really? That's actually too bad, he may have ruined his career. Next time he may think twice about doing what he did.
 
I wonder how good a lawyer he's got.

The prosecutor has had the case since June and now sees fit to increase the number and seriousness of the charges.

I wonder if prior attempts to get Taylor to plea were fruitless, so now since the prosecutor has to put on a trial, he's going to go for the throat.

Back when the only charge was misdemeanor battery, his lawyer should have pushed for a quick settlement.
