If that isn't a subtle way of saying he shouldn't be fired then you are right, I do have reading comprehension problems.

CB- We got a good deal on Grimes but overpaid Finnegen at $5.5M a year. We could have had Verner, who I targeted to replace Grimes (almost as good last year), for $5M in place of Finnegen.

S- We got Delmas for $3.5M, and could have kept Clemons for less than half that.

RB- We got Moreno for $3M, and Blount went for $1.9. Debatable.

DT- We got Starks for $6M, and Mitchell for $4M. DT is very deep and talented in this draft. We could have signed one, and drafted another, saving a few Mil. Debatable.

Overall, I'm not overly impressed with what Hickey has done to this point but, we shall see.

So with Verner, Clemons, Blount and a rookie DT, we're going to the playoffs?
 
I love the "we should have signed this guy" line, apparently that means all FA's wanted to sign with us but we chose to go in another direction. Apparently the 31 other NFL teams waited until we made our minds up and then took the left overs, lol!

Did you ever think that some of the players that signed elsewhere signed there for a reason?
 
Jesus, you are second guessing Hickey already? The draft hasn't even happened yet!

Hickey made some key acquisitions in free agency, and as long he doesn't draft a kicker in the first round I will have faith in his picks until proven otherwise.

Smith>Brenner
Finnegan>Carroll
Delmas>Clemons
Mitchell>Soliai
Moreno is clearly an upgrade at RB and our starters are back.

What is not to like? We have't even got to the draft yet and have improved in a number of positions. I can't think of a single postion where we have regressed.

Finnegan might as well never play again since he's destined to be awful for eternity I guess.

But since he put on a dolphins uniform he is suddenly gonna become Deon Sanders. Didn't you get the memo, the new fins jersey has amazing healing properties. They are going to make Shelly play like a starter and Finnegan is going to revert back to when he was actually a top 100 CB.
