Sense among players is Mike Sherman Should be Gone

If Philbin stays this is the big test. Can he find the right guys. And yes it matters. Not the same situation but way back when, Tom Coughlin was on the hot seat he took a gamble and hired an LB coach from the Eagles to be his DC, and that move saved his job

Tom Coughlin is a HOF coach.

So the players agreed the play calling was ****? ****ing hell this team is totally broken.

We obviously need a new OCc and making this move quickly would make me feel a lot better

No one is going to want that job with a lame duck Philbin.

Quit being so dramatic, I'm sure there are hundreds if not thousands of qualified people willing to take one of the top 32 coaching positions in the world making millions of dollars.

Here is what I will KEEP harping on over the next few days: IF you want to get rid of Sherman, but keep Philbin, who the hell is going to want that job? Joe enters next year on the hot seat. The OC job could be one and done (see Brian Daboll). My point is you are not going to be able to hire a difference maker at OC.

Sooooo, you either keep Sherman OR you fire Joe and start over.
That can work both ways, though, depending on the OC. If it's an OC like Kubiak who's been successful as a HC in the past, he may view himself as the heir apparent to the HC if Philbin is fired.

Exactly. And I think there are a number of viable candidates, like Rob Chudzinsky out there that would rather work for the Dolphins than nobody.

We have no creativity on offense, defense, or special teams. We have terrible talent evaluators in the front office. We pass on studs in areas of need, like not drafting Earl Thomas when our safeties were horrible. Just complete disfunction throughout the franchise.

No way. There are going to be over a half of a dozen openings. Why take the gig with the lame duck?

Chud gets paid the next three years for doing nothing. Why does he need this job?

I think Daboll did a good job. I think someone else can come in here and do a good job at OC, better than Sherman can. Philbin needed someone to hold his hand, and the same thing happened before when we ended up with Henning. New HC's don't seem to know what they're doing and they want that security blanket.

Something needs to definitely change, and that team out there today didn't even want to play. A high school team could have beat them these past couple weeks.

Yes! We have a scapegoat...now we can keep Ireland. Thank God!!!
