I'm ready to move on from Philbin but you don't need anything special at OC to be an improvement over Sherman, just someone with common sense.
 
If you truly believe Sherman is the only problem then you live in a ****ing dream world.

Because doing nothing ends his career. Turning around a team's offense revives it.

If he believes the mix between his system and Tannehill does the best job of getting his resume back on track for a HC position.

I don't think coaches like Kubiak care if the HC is a lame duck. They're going to have at least an OC position somewhere, no matter what. It's not like they're a Chris Foerster whose career goes down the tubes if his HC is fired.
 
Don't forget...our Defense sucked major balls this year.
 
While replacing Sherman is all well and good (and deserved), I for one don't think that move alone will turn this franchise around. I really hope this isn't the extent of the change, I remember a similar move when Henning "retired" and we stayed put with everybody else and started out 0-7.

Put bluntly, this team's woes goes deeper than a coordinator position
 
Here's a question that to me is just as telling, if not more so than what they think of Sherman....What do the players think of Philbin?

You will never know. They are not going to go on record ever saying anything bad publicly. Very few players would ever do that. It is just like people talking about "how great xxx says xxx is..." It's all just nonsense. You can't ever listen to that crap. You have to watch and judge for yourself...

I don't put that on Coyle. He isn't the one that changed the LB core...or made Jones absolutely disappear for the year...
 
Sherman does need to go/go go. That whole issue is just embarrassing. Also, Ireland must be held accountable for not protecting the franchise.
