Seriously consider this!

I feel like you're mad no one is agreeing with you

Stand up for what is right, even if your standing alone.

I know looking at that roster, with the addition if Tannehill, McCoy & Pagano, that we would be far better off. Just because others disagree, due to not wanting to look back or sheer blind loyalty does not make it right

Just consider if we had hired Mike McCoy. Again the above roster is without any and I repeat not one FA signing or draft pick. When you consider that San Diego chargers recently drafted DJ Fluker, Manti Teo & Keenan Allen, all players who would have fitted with what we had.

If you really think Jeff Ireland would have drafted any of those players, especially Allen who was drafted in the 3rd round a feat Ireland did a total of once in 6 drafts, you're out to lunch. You're not making a valid argument. McCoy has most of that Chargers team in place and the two main ingredients to his offense, Ryan Matthews and Philip Rivers, were already on the squad. If you think Matt Moore is on Philip Rivers level, again you're smoking something. Once more the Chargers made the playoffs in a very unlikely scenario where the Dolphins and Ravens had to lose and they were fortunate enough to play a K.C. team that was playing all of their backups and still had to go into overtime to win the game.

Even if we had stayed with the same relative offense and defense this team had square pegs in round holes. Ireland drafted a mosh posh of players, none of them great. Not one of Ireland's players has been All-Pro (not pro bowl...All-Pro).

You have missed my point!

Don't look at that roster as if is accept that and expect success. Look at that roster and then consider where we were at before we made and FA signing this year and then compare.

We went into 2012 draft needing a QB, OT and DE/OLB. We drafted Tannehill, Martin, Vernon and even Lamar Miller. Granted we whiffed on Martin but again he was part if the shift to a more mobile ZBS lineman.

I do not think that Moore was the answer. I am saying how did we go from that to where we are now? My point is that due to hiring Joe Philbin we have lost either to scheme or character concerns, B.Marshall, Jake Long, Fasano, Reggie Bush, Paul Soliai, Tony McDaniel, Dansby & Burnett, Chris Clemons, Sean Smith, Vontae Davis and Nolan Carroll. That is a lot of talent not including Incognito and John Jerry.

I am saying how did we go from that to where we are now?

QB - Matt Moore
RB - Reggie Bush
FB - Charles Clay
WR - Brandon Marshall, Brian Hartline, Devone Bess
TE - Anthony Fasano
OL - Jake Long, Richie Incognito, Mike Pouncey, John Jerry, Nate Garner

DL - Starks, Soliai, Odrick, McDaniel
OLB - Cameron Wake, Koa Misi
MLB - Karlos Dansby, Kevin Burnett
CB - Sean Smith, Vernon Davis, Nolan Carroll, Jimmy Wilson
S - Chris Clemons, Reshad Jones

I think we miss the blocking ability of Fasano, and his big body and red zone ability. We still don't have a blocking TE on the roster that's as good. We missed Long, of course. Bush was a big loss. When Tony McDaniel left I wasn't happy because he was good against the run.

That's why I think Hickey's been smart with FA. We basically fixed the Long issue by signing Albert. We addressed the losing Bush issue by picking up Moreno, another talented, experienced veteran. He stopped the bleeding on the D line by resigning Starks, and picking up another lineman in FA.

One step forward, two steps back...now one step forward again.

Consider this.......Einhorn is Finkel....Finkel is Einhorn!

Normanii is Shouright.......Shouright is Normanii!

But, we must always look at what could've been! :boohoo:

I wish people would stop looking at the past and look to the future.

Ya keep looking to the future and its all rainbows and butterflies. Fact is, how can you be excited about the future when you look at what this franchise has done the last 6 years? I am not naïve enough to get fooled again and pretend this will be a championship franchise anytime soon..

Dolphins beat Chargers last year. That means that Philbin out coached McCoy.

Didn't the Chargers make it to the second round of the playoffs last yr?

This team had talent, Ireland is an average GM who made some good moves and bad, if Sparano had RT he would still be coaching this team.....the roster going into 2012 was better than any roster in our Division including the Pats (with RT) bottom line is we screwed up, was it the Ireland? was it Ross? or Philbin? Dismantling that team was stupid, I would have hired Bowles to coach the team after he did a great job as interim coach...he would have kept the team intact as much as possible and with RT at QB we are in the playoffs this yr making noise...

I am certainly no Philbin fan, but I don't think we would be any better off with McCoy at this point... Ireland was still woefully inept at building an O Line that could protect a QB. Who knows who the QB would be now if McCoy came here.

I would rather not think about the past and "what could have been"...it pushes me to drink, and drink heavy.
