Seriously?

You mean the town that actually "owns" their team? You said it best blue collar, there is nothing in that town to do but eat cheese and go to Packers games..

Please bro. Ive been to plenty of cities in my day. Its not as If I never get out of the mountains.

Explain to me on a Monday evening what all these wonderful and less expensive alternatives for entertainment there are in Miami. You act like people in large cities dont do a lot of the same **** that people everywhere else in America do. Is U2 performing over at the arena this Monday? Do high class hookers have Monday discounts if you rent a cheap hotel room in Miami? Is Jesus coming back on Monday? Are the beaches just loaded on Monday nights down there? Tell me what the **** is going on that is just so superior to the Phins game on Monday night that wont cost you half as much? Id like to know.

I will tell you whats going on...... the same **** that people around Green Bay will be doing who couldnt get a ticket to the game. A bunch of ****ers sitting at their house eating cheese and watching the game on TV. The difference is they couldnt get tickets because the game has been sold out from the jump. In Miami, the cheese eaters sitting on their couches are just fair weather as ****. Get real.

Tell you what if I had the opportunity to move to Miami with my job I'd do it in a second. I don't make all that much money. I support my wife and son on my $60k income alone each year. I have priorities in my life and one of them is being able to make it to a Dolphins game every year. Hell, I even got a part time job on the side 2 nights a week just so I could afford to go now that I have a family. It's called a savings account and every time I get a paycheck from my P/T gig instead of spending it on a case of beer, fast food, or some stupid movie on DVD I put it in there. You see it's not about having the money it prioritizing the money you have and making it work for the things you really want to do. Which unfortunatley to lots of Dolphins fans in S. Fla seeing the Fins in person is no longer what they prioritize their money for.

It's a priority for alot of fans . . . maybe not 10 times a year, but definitely 2 or 3 times. Be happy that you make 60K a year and can support your family, I know people out of work 2 years that were making 75K and still can't find jobs and have had to settle for jobs making 30K because of it being part time. Be thankful you have the opportunity to have a part time job to have money in your savings.

I think every Dolphins fan have dreams of going to all the home games and being there for their team, but nobody knows anything about anybody outside of their forum name on here . . . you don't know anybody's situation, so it's unfair for you to comment when you aren't living in their struggle. I guarantee you don't deal with the nepitism that goes on down here. I'm glad your wife allows you to prioritze the Fins like that . . . my wife just sent her mom $1200 in NY because her work as a home health aid is slow and she is about to get kicked out of her house. My wife's sister has 2 kids and we just gave her $240 to get her lights cut back on. My mom gets money from me every month just to keep afloat. I'm sorry, I do what I can do, I work as hard as you, maybe even harder, I don't know . . . but don't tell me the Fins aren't a priority in my life, because they are . . . but there down on a long list of other things and people that mean more to me.

I vote for the bitching! Ha jk it is time to move on from this.

There's so many reasons for the fan situation right now. It can't be boiled down into one thing.

But the main thing is at least we have a team, and we will have football in only a matter of a few days!!

Gloria concerts =)

I tell you what . . . you send me the money to go to the game and I'll carry a sign saying "I'm representing for WV". I'll even make a detailed thread of my experience of being you for the night.

Honestly, the biggest thing stopping me from going to this game is that I am working in Boca on Mondayand I'm getting off at 6:30 so its a battle just making it to the house for kickoff, I may end up hitting a bar until halftime.

That being said, you can't compare Green Bay to Miami/South FL . . . its 2 different worlds.

Hm that comes off like a nasty generalization. That kind of **** is uncalled for because it puts the majority of Dolphins fans who love their team but can't go to the game in a bind. I'd love to go to all the games, but can't so I watch from home. I'm a cheese eater watching the game at home for the majority of home games, and I bleed aqua and orange. You don't HAVE to go to the games to be a hardcore fan. That's another part of reality.

And it's not even like anyone is asking you to buy season tickets. If even a decent portion of the fanbase made it out to a couple games a year this wouldn't be an issue. Do you know how many people there are in the tri county area?

I wonder how many Jets fans and Patriot fans have relocated to Green Bay in recent years?

Do you know how far that drive from Palm Beach to Sunlife in the middle of Monday rush hour is? Let alone the fact that people wanna tailgate and have to work on Mondays. Kickoff is at 7, not 9.

It's utterly mind blowing to me that fans in Florida can't show up to support their team. Hell, I live 1800 miles away from Miami and I make it to normally one home and away game a year, so don't give me any of that "it costs to much BS". It's about supporting you team through thick and thin, no excuses. I Can't wait for Jan 1. Warm weather, the Fins and New Years Day. Gotta love it.

Seriously, I live in Boston and get to one a year. Who are these people that can't show up to a few games? Miami is a BIG city.

Ross/Ireland tries to bring in a new coach which shows he has no confidence in Sparano. Ross/Ireland/Sparano try to bring in a new QB which shows they have no confidence in our starting QB.

Why the **** should the fans have any confidence in this team. Its kind of hard to win with a **** coach and a **** QB.

This is 100% Ross's fault. Its a learning experience for him and I'm sure ticket sales will get better next season.

You are the epitome of a bandwagon/fair weather fan. A fan supports the players on his team through thick and thin. Sure you can complain about the FO and Coaching staff but to not support the players is exactly what a fair weather fan does when he thinks they have no chance. Hell even someone like WV who has some of the most degrading comments about our players, coaching staff and FO is bitching about the fans not showing up and supporting the team. Sure there are some people who truely can't afford to go to games and I understand that but there is no excuse for people who can afford it, to not show up to Fins games and of the 2+million or more people in the Miami surrounding area surely there are 70,000 people who can afford to go.

I think you are missing the point I'm trying to make. I'm not getting on people who can't financially afford to go. Your family should come first and foremost before any professional team. I'm getting on the people who definitley have enough money to go but are just to fair weather of a fan to get their lazy ***** of their couch to support their team or stop spending money on frivilous things which could be used to support their team.

The idea that you must support the team no matter what is ridiculous.

Everybody has their limits, EVERYBODY. If Ross decides he's going to field a team full of clowns and we go 0-16 for 10 years straight are you still a fairwheather fan if you miss a game in year 11?

half the people that live in miami have no desire to watch 'american' football. hell, half of them can't even speak english. that will never change. the economy just adds to the nightmarish fan base in sofla.

I think last seasons home ****ery really hit the fanbase hard. Ill still be going to my couple games, but most of the casual fans just arent. Me and WV actually briefly talked about this the other night. Most of the fans around here say they love the fins, but really dont know a lot about them and dont really see many games in person or otherwise. Thats just how it is. Most of the people you see here are the diehards...but after that there just isnt much support for a product thats not glitzy or electric. The heat were pretty good for years and didnt sell out until they got a couple glam players.
