Seriously?

I think you are missing the point I'm trying to make. I'm not getting on people who can't financially afford to go. Your family should come first and foremost before any professional team. I'm getting on the people who definitley have enough money to go but are just to fair weather of a fan to get their lazy ***** of their couch to support their team or stop spending money on frivilous things which could be used to support their team.

First off, I kind of vented on you and I apologize man . . . I just know in "my world" people don't have it, hell I truthfully don't have it. I'm still living in a condo and I'm trying to save for a house. I just can't afford to do it for 8 games and neither can my friends. We usually get together on a Sunday morning, play some flag football, grab a couple of 12 packs and some food and watch the 1 p.m. games. 2 or 3 times out of the season, me and a few guys will plan to hit a game and we have alot of fun . . . its expensive, but we have fun. We have fun staying home and watching as well and we don't spend nearly as much. And I make decent money . . . I can imagine the people who don't trying to deal with others in different areas complaining to them that they should get off their azz to go to a game when that person doesn't know what is going on in their lives.

half the people that live in miami have no desire to watch 'american' football. hell, half of them can't even speak english. that will never change. the economy just adds to the nightmarish fan base in sofla.

Yet people wanna compare their areas with down here . . . its a different world in South Florida, and that can only be stressed by living down here. Coming here on short trips to watch the Fins isn't the same as living here. I always laugh when we have a home game and CBS shows pictures of South Beach. That can't even describe where the stadium is . . . they literally must just send a camera guy to South Beach just to show pictures on TV, yet South Beach is over half an hour away.

When you start driving in Miami and you start seeing signs that say "We Speak English" . . . you'll understand this isn't Green Bay, or Kansas City, or whatever city people wanna mention.

It's utterly mind blowing to me that fans in Florida can't show up to support their team. Hell, I live 1800 miles away from Miami and I make it to normally one home and away game a year, so don't give me any of that "it costs to much BS". It's about supporting you team through thick and thin, no excuses. I Can't wait for Jan 1. Warm weather, the Fins and New Years Day. Gotta love it.

U must live in a fantasy land buddy. No excuses for not making it to a game? Were fans not players we have no obligation to go to any games. And yes it does cost too much for some people, fortunately for u ur not one of those people. Peoples real lives come before football. The teams are made bythe fans not the other way around and anyone who thinks otherwise is a nut and needs a reality check.

Meh, cannot get on fans when this team hasn't won a playoff game since the original Playstation was still the #1 game system.

LMAO. I think of the same thing. Sun Life isn't even in Miami it's more closer to Hialeah than it is Miami. Should just rename it the Hialeah Dolphins and probably send a camera guy to Cuba and show scenery of Cuba.

Only teams that should show South Beach viewings would be the Heat (since they're like right there at South Beach) and now the Marlins since the Marlins would actually be near Downtown Miami.

You all can get mad/worked up over the fans but the fact remains the location and price costs of the stadium does not appeal the fans, not to mention they sit in an oven at a 1 PM game which is not fun either.

I'm going to Monday Night's game and then I plan on going to another game this season, not sure which yet, but that's all I can afford and I live down here. There's plenty of fans just like me that can only go to one game or two a season.

But hey, if you all want to start paying my high bills and everyone else' as well, we'll start showing up more. You guys don't have a damn clue how it is to live in this city, you all just ***** from where ever the hell you're from and act like the Dolphins are on some sort of top priority that every Miami citizen must do. It'll become a priority when they start winning again, but not when they give us ****. Just not a smart investment. Cost of living in Miami is much higher than most of Florida and probably one of the highest in the country. I've posted on this site before that when I do have the money I'd get the **** out of Miami. Love the city, but way too expensive to make it my permanent home.

Just as an example, my aunt who is an Ocala, FL citizen has a much bigger house plus a very spacious backyard than I do, and her bills are still about 300.00 less than what I pay. No joke.

i love when out of town fans attack the local base, as if 2/5 of the population isn't from the north anyway, 2/5 isn't english and don't pay attention to football or hardly basketball.

Then you have the 1/5 that travel from all over the state to go to miami games because they are real fans of the sports.

Oh, and a winning product helps, losing and having high prices don't help.

We have more football fans that root for another team than the Dolphins down here...

This won't change since these fans will pass their team on to their children and so on...

Bro its terrible, the generation has just started. All the damn kids wearing brady jerseys at target in coral springs, I mean damn. All the kids I grew up with were steelers, jets, eagles, pats fans, all the families from NY or Boston. Driving around I see more BOSOX and Pats license plates than Dolphins.

But on the subject of pumping crowd noise... I don't object, I don't care about the reasoning either. Half of the lower bowl fanbase are rich kids or ppl who don't know or care too much and are just going to get drunk and yell and take pics and say I went the fins game on facebook. Meaning they are probably the ones yelling when its 3rd and 10 and we are on offense. Also crowd noise effect is good for road games.

Once again I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I don't fault those people who don't go to games because they can't afford it. I'm talking about the people who can afford it but chose not to go because they don't think the team is any good and they wont win. That is not the definition of a fan which is short for finatic.

I wouldn't worry about ticket sales. I think it's October 15th that tebow is coming to save the day.

I should just let you guys know that these type of things definitely are not exclusive to us. I live near Tampa, and I went to the Phins/Bucs preseason game and I swear there were as many if not more Phins fan there than Bucs. In fact, the section I was sitting in was primarily Dolphin fans and at several points in the game broke out in loud "Lets go dolphins!" chants, something I don't even remember hearing in any of the last 5 or so home games I've been to.

Like others have said above me, there are a variety or reasons why Miami's fans aren't showing up to these games, not the least of which is that it's hot, expensive, in a crappy area, we haven't had a great season in years, etc. etc. If you expect the local fans to endure that then you have to give them some incentive. If I ever live in Miami again (and I honestly hope I never do :chuckle:) I would certainly try to make it to as many games as I can, but when you're looking at $110 MINIMUM for the experience, it's pretty hard to justify week after week, when you could go to a sports bar and eat all you want in air condition watching the game in HD for a 4th of the cost.
