Shame on all of you....

... that are accepting poor performances from the players and coaches on this team. That is exactly what you are doing when you put all the blame on one player. You are absolving the other 52 players and the coaching staff of their share of the responsibility for the loss. You are accepting mediocrity.

Unlike so many on this site, I get pissed at ALL of the players that don't play well. It is amazing that so many seem fine with crappy play from so many.

I'll give Wallace credit for a solid game. Grimes made a few plays. Nobody else played well. It drives me crazy to see opposing WRs running free through the defense. Watkins must have had 6 or 7 catches with no defender anywhere near. They made a below average QB look like a probowl QB. Special teams were not very special.

You guys are kidding yourselves if you think this performance was a QB away from being competitive in this game. That doesn't excuse Tannehill for his part but I want the whole team to play well. Shame on those that don't want the same.
:yap:

The sad thing is that the douche bags on the site ruin a place where FANS of a team can discuss their favorite team. I highly encourage the mods to create a Tannehaters forum where the haters can get together in a circle jerk and get their collective rocks off by bashing Tannehill.

You and RT would would make excellent hubs for the circle.

Another well thought out response.

I don't think anyone should give a free ride to anyone involved in this game from the Miami dolphins that is not called Mike Wallace but in the NFL the game is played through the performance of your QB and this game just highlighted once more what we have at that position, that's why people are angry mostly at one man, it's the most important position in the game.

While that all may be true, one thing is for certain, the quarterback gives the rest of the team no margin for error.

No team is perfect, but great quarterback play helps close the gap. And Tannehill is a far cry from great. He's the epitome of mediocre.

You're running out of scapegoats for this QB. And you know it.

Great QB play does give the rest of the team a larger margin for error. And a great team gives the QB a larger margin for error. I just watched Kaepernick play like complete crap and go into halftime leading 17-7. He hasn't thrown a single accurate pass in the whole game. Taking sacks, INT, fumble, missing wide open guys, yet his team is winning.

If you're drawing comparisons between Tannehill and Kap your beating yourself in your own argument. Neither QB is very good.

Kaepernick sucks. What is your point? None of this makes Tannehill the player you thought he was.

I think most realize that it was a combination of Buffalo coming out sky high and punching Miami in the mouth and the Dolphins being unprepared and unable to retaliate to the initial punch. The problem is that it has become increasingly obvious that we are heading back to square 1 in trying to find a franchise QB and people are tired of being disappointed and frustrated at starting over yet again.

There are no excuses for the game. They sucked in all phases. Period.

What kind of player did I think he was?

My point is that this is a team game and the people who don't get that don't understand the game.

I'm saying that the bigger difference between Miami and SF is the 52 around the QB and that is the point.

The biggest difference between the 49ers and Miami is the coaching. It's not even close.

Classic, the irony of a bills fan telling us how to be mad at our team, I got an idea, go back to your bills message boards and tell everyone how good your team is... until week 5.

Our team has a lot of issues, for sure, this one was on the coaches and tannehill. Any blind man could see this. Philbins losing attitude has infected this team like a virus. Giving up before the half etc... Lazers play calling was retched today. No running game but just did not want any other formation besides the shotgun, read option. I don't even need to speak on tannehill.everyone here already knows it. Smdh

I hate to say it, but this.

If GIVING UP with 2:29 to play in the half and 3 timeouts doesn't scream "fire me," what does? A lot of people here soured on Tannehill today. I soured on Philbin.

I'm not letting Tannehill off the hook - he missed the tackle on that special teams TD, and I blame him for Wake disappearing today also. lol

Anyways, people understand that the QB isn't the only person to blame, but with all the mistakes we made and the defense still only gave up 9 points in a half? Of course people are going to be unhappy when they see that their supposed franchise QB puts up a bagel because of bad passes and inability to lead drives. This is two straight games where we had mediocre play in the 1st half and the defense was able to do enough throughout the half to keep the game watchable, luckily Tannehill came back in the 2nd half to help us get the win even though it was 90% the defense being a stone wall on Brady. The 2nd game he came out of the 2nd half still as lethargic as in the 1st half and when we actually got a drive going he overthrew a TD pass and kept us behind throughout the game.

We all want Tannehill to be the franchise QB, but this is supposed to be the year he steps up and thus far he's far from it. It's only 2 games into the year and while I agree we shouldn't call for his head just yet, he certainly deserves the criticism he gets for his performance.

And while it's great that you may be able to mask mediocre QB play on a great team like San Francisco does, why should that in any way make the fanbase feel that they should just ignore the QB's flaws? I for one would rather have the franchise QB first rather than worry about making sure we have 21 great players around a mediocre QB.
