Shanahan in Miami 2014?

I don't see that happening. I actually think Philbin will be back tho I'm hoping they bring in someone new.

Ozzy rules!!

No, Nope....don't want it.....

Jake Plummer is the best QB he's had since Elway, and the talent on that Denver team was old, and the Redskins have been terrible since the mid 90s.

Coaches aren't magic. I fault him for bringing on Haslett as his DC and for taking the Washington job, but he hasn't forgotten how to coach. He needs the right GM and the right DC to be successful, but he's probably the best offensive mind to come from the Bill Walsh coaching tree, and that's high praise.

To be clear, I'm not saying I want him in Miami. Under the right circumstances, I would. But I don't know where people get off bagging on a dude with two rings who took a raw rookie QB to the playoffs last season.

Pretty much how I feel about it. He's certainly not a terrible coach.

He's a little crusty to play O-line so I'll pass.

Nope, nothing against him but he is very old school.

I hate the whole nepotism thing as well.

I like Jon Gruden, Jay Gruden or Vic Fangio.

It wouldn't rock my socks if he was hired here, but my respect level for the coaches we've had lately is not very high to begin with. At least Shanahan has a lot of HC experience, whether it's old school or not, and I think he would get creative with Tannehill's talents and overall QB development.

I'd be interested to see what Shanahan or Kubiak could do with our offensive personnel.

In fact, I'd be interested to even see what Mike Shula could do with them.

Oh God No.....JDW!!! i have mucho respect for you....but, no thank you to Mike Shula....great guy, horrible coach.....
If his last name wasn't Shula..he wouldn't have a job in football.

Let me put it this way...M.Shula and Lane Kiffin are basically the same guy, just Mike has a better personality.
Both of them got jobs, they didn't deserve because of their dads.

P.s. don't even get me started on how I feel about our own Zac Taylor.

I'm not advocating the hiring of Mike Shula. More than anything, just a comment on how I think our offensive staff keeps trying to push square pegs into round holes.

The problems in Washington are not Shanahan's. The Redskins spent the farm in terms of future draft picks to get RGIII and then had no cap room to buy any thing or anyone. Even with that the Redskins scored with offensive picks in terms of their running back, wide receivers and tight end. Jordan Reid is a real player - Hankerson's pretty good, and their running back Morris was a steal.

The Redskins front office has been over eager - over paying - over stretching and as a result missing on how to grow in a more fundamental way.

I am not a huge Shanahan fan and I agree that his son is even worse - but, but, but I am actually more convinced of him this year because he has done more with less. His team sucks but then again he has no talent and cannot shop at the store for anything.

If he came here to Miami he would walk into a healthy salary cap situation and a team that has a strong base of talent.

We need two big strong receivers - and maybe Keller returns or we go out and get more tight end talent - and a bruising down hill runner like Morris.

All that said I do like the idea of going with up and coming talent.

Everyone considering this, do you honestly think Shanahan could be competitive at ALL in the same division as Belicheck? Lol, pipe dreams. Stay with Philbin for atleast another year to see what he could do with possibly a new gm.

Lamar miller and tannehill would instantly be better with Shanahan. He's actually an ideal candidate to take this team, fit for his style offense, to the playoffs. Him and wade phillips

If Philbin is let go we can do better than Shannahan.....guy is over rated, if memory serves me correct, one good thing about him he has a good record against Belicheat....
