Sherman is 'Running' the team

What does Sherman is running the team mean? Is he picking the players? is he making the decisions? Is he picking the 48 players on game day? This sounds like bull**** to me, probably a reporter starting trouble......I really would like to know what his definition of he is running the team is......

I wonder how a clueless guy manages to pull of multi billion deals.

So do I. He's had an ownership stake since '08 and I've yet to see anything impressive. Nothing that suggests the guy is some management or financial mastermind.

Maybe we are dealing with a man in the late stages of a career who can't learn a new business and delegates responsibility for his legacy business to others.

I think of Ross like a Hollywood producer - only as good as his last movie and his last movie isn't very good.

I just don't see how Ireland and Philbin can work together anymore. I'm sure each one spent time trashing the other in meetings with Ross.

I'm sorry but this smells like another Jeff Ireland desperation leak.

I think Joe needs to go, but get a grip.

I said months ago that Philbin putting his first biggest decision in Sherman's hands (Ryan Tannehill) was a suspect move. Philbin knew his fate was in the QB pick and he let Sherman make the pick. Lets face it Rayn is Sherman's boy. The comment that started the thread was bound to be made sooner or later. Regardless of whether RT is the right guy or not, it is not right from a management point of view.

Making decisions that don't normally reside with an OC.

He's good enough to own an NFL football team.

Id' suppose if I was taking advice from some random dude on the internet, as opposed to a dude
that owned an NFL franchise........I'd probably listen to the latter...At least in terms of anything past
which variation of bud to smoke.

Give me some examples please what decisions can Sherman make as OC that should be made by the HC that the players wouldn't know about......

i guess those of us wondering exactly what philbin does just got our answer. whatever sherman tells him to.

Didn't you notice how philbin never has a playsheet in his hands when the offense is on the field? Means he has no input or chooses to leave the playcalling entirely up to Sherman.

That is fine. However, if it is deeper in terms of what a HC needs to be doing...holy ****.

Is an HC supposed to be an OC or a DC? I'm confused.

A head coach is supposed to be a manager. Not like in college, or
high school.
