Who? When? Never heard a commentator say that and they would be right if they did. The Orange Bowl was unique. It was also a much smaller stadium. This stadium was built to accommodate soccer games so the stands are farther from the field which obviously effects what you hear through the tv. Sit in the stands and watch a game that doesn't inspire suicide like the Chicago game and you out of towners will stop bitching.

Centrally located, more fans could reach the game, but then you would have issues with Tampa, who are pretty much of the Orlando TV market.

The Dallas Cowboys, even though they moved to Arlington, Texas, are still called the Dallas Cowboys....

If the Dolphins moved out of State, like Tennessee did, I would never ever follow them again.

Arlington is part of DFW, about 10-20 minutes from where the old stadium was in Irving. Orlando is what, 3 hours away from Miami. The comparison doesn't work.

The fact is, Miami isn't Pittsburgh. The Phins are competing for people's time. Diehards will go no matter what in every city. It's the occasional/average fan that teams are trying to pull. They're the ones that will go party in South Beach vs. watching mediocre football year after year.

And the immigration angle is asinine. NY is FULL of immigrants, yet they can fill a stadium for two teams (as long as they are winning).

Fans will come if they win, it's that simple. Just check out videos of the 1985 Phins-Bears game in the Orange Bowl on youtube.

Moving the team to O-town is the dumbest idea ever. A. The money and fans are in Miami. B. Miami has the much larger market. C. Miami is the fastest growing city in the US and the 2nd fastest in the world. D. Miami is the home of the Dolphins and always will be.

Where does this notion that are fans are so bad come from? I go to about 4 or 5 games every year and it's almost always a packed house. Scream "protect this house" into the crowd ans see the response. I'm actually always surprised how many people do come out to the games. It's unbearably uncomfortable to be there at 1 p.m. when those seats burn your back and *** off. Same thing goes for the Marlins games. I'm hopeful that stage 2 and 3 include a roof to the stadium. The rain doesn't bother me so much as the heat. I remember the playoff game vs the Ravens in 08 where I saw a couple of ladies go down with heat stroke.

The Miami Herald would probably go under if it not for the Dolphins section of the paper. ;)

This. How many times have we not been to Jets-Dolphins games just to get into fights with the idiot Jets fan who comes to the games? Like I said, this is the 305- live or die. When the Marlins leave, they will add more lower level seats. It's going to be part of the 2nd phase.

If I recall, when we played in orange, the crowd was pretty damn livid and the announcers even pointed it out, I was told. We caused some confusion for the offense a couple of times. I was at the game, and I wasn't the only one who lost my voice for a week.

I dont know if a move North would solve the problem.

Purly basing this on what I have seen, but both the Bucs and Jags are struggling to fill their stadiums also. Attendences in Jacksonville are laughable and I seen the Bucs play the Rams a couple of weeks ago (when both teams had winning records) and the stadium was half empty.

Going by that it would seem that the state of Florida is just not that passionate about pro football.

The dolphins have a passionate fan base, but I don't think it is that strong in Miami and south Florida due to the influx of immigrants. The Dolphins have more fans spread across the country than in south Florida. Do you think the Dolphins would fair better in Orlando with a big *** new state of the art stadium? I think they would. The fans that are in south Florida would make the 2hr drive to the new stadium and more people from Ocala, Gainesville, Tampa, and Jacksonville would come to the games and be more outspoken about the team. Cowherd said it best when he said, on his show, that the successful teams in the NFL have fans that CARE!!!! we all care out this team and there are people that care about the team in Miami, but there is not enough people in Miami screaming for results because it is all about parting, jersey shore and tons of people can't speak English and don't go to the games.

I live in orlando, where exactly would you put them? Also where is this new stadium going to be put, as we already have the citrus dump in the worse section of town.

Finally its not the fact that their are foreigners in miami thats keeping the fins from selling out...its the fact that the cheapest ticket in the place is 40 dollars, a soda costs 6 dollars. Add that together and then remember that we havent been relevant since petey missed that FG and we are in the worst shape financially as a country since the great depression.
 
im just saying its pretty sad that it sounds like an away game at their home stadium
