Should we send Sage Rosenfels packing to Chicago?

sage is a pro bowl qb wheter or not you like him personally . admitt it troops sage is the next marino so get used to it.
How exactly is he a pro-bowl quarterback if he can't even beat out the guy you hate so much? As for being the next Marino... If I recall, Marino did pretty well his rookie year and broke just about every single-season record in his second year (1984). On the other hand, it took Sage about four or five years just to start a game, and that was with two QB's on IR. Sage might be a good quarterback to have if plan A and B fail but he's not a good player, and nowhere near Marino.

a few days ago i saw on nfl network that the bears couldn't pay benson and that they maight not do it, so the idea of sending sage to the bears could happen if we include one of our reserve RB's

Sage the next Marino?! WRONG! Marino was a stud his first year! As for Sage... well he is what 28? 5 Years of riding the pine, but not only riding it, riding it behind Fiedler and Feeley. Now if he threw for 4000+ yards for 3 of those 5 years, I might just say he may be the next Marino (Peyton Manning?). Even then it is a slim chance.

Back to the real topic here... why don't we offer them Feeley? Maybe we could get a 2nd (I feel like maybe they were saying this about us on an Eagles board somewhere).

Benson isn't going anywhere. You don't let your 4th overall pick slide.

i don't think a guy battling BROCK BERLIN for a roster spot has much trade value.

I feel like some fan in Philly said the same thing about Feeley battling Detmer for the backup position.

Was a joke. LOL

look guys sage has a strong arm and i alot of people here in okla. thought he is deffinately a better qb then feely and i am sticking to it this kid has been screwed over by two coaches and i belive in sage because he is a victim like bill clinton was when he was president.

Good lord do NOT bring politics into this forum.

Anyway, I didn't say the Bears would be giving up a LOT for Sage...I'm just saying there's the connection. Norv brought Sage into the NFL, he followed Norv to Miami, there was talk of him following Norv to Oakland, and now Norv's brother is the OC of the Bears and the Bears have two quarterbacks who will now be responsible for playing half of the Bears' games in a year they THOUGHT they could be contending for the division title. I mean lets face it, Rex could be out the whole year or at least half of it and they have to get by with Chad Hutchinson (who is a moron), a ROOKIE (I know he may be the future, but the future does not = now, and rookies not named Rothlesberger tend to fail), and Kurt Kittner, who sucks butt.

Sage has plenty of experience on NFL teams, if not a whole lot of starting experience, and he may already know the offensive terminology and playbook. If I were the Bears, I would want another option next to Chad Hutchinson and Kyle Orton. I'm sorry, but I would. If it looks obvious Hutch won't work (and I say the chances are 90% that will become evident quickly), then you've got a rookie and I just wouldn't want to put Orton in that position. I'd bring in Sage and have him compete with Hutch for the start...because I think he's better than Hutch.
