Shula Speaks on Incognito/Martin

Do you agree with Don Shula here?

Why the hell would anyone (no matter how you root for the Dolphins) bash Shula for speaking his mind? He's earned the right to give his opinion on anything Dolphins related and I give him props for speaking up on this situation. I'm surprised he didn't say something about it earlier. I'm not surprised however you would try to stir up crap within Finheaven with the typical hater/homer argument again.
Pretty much this.....The Don has spoken.

The Don has a lot of weight to his words because of his experience and status in Miami. I agree with him.

Shoes should know; he also took chances on players. "Perfectville" weren't no buncha choirboys!

Exactly. He also had Randy Crowder and Don't Reese. He gave Hollywood Henderson and Chuck Muncie second chances.

The fact these buffoons followed in the footsteps of Shula is insulting....

Love the Don ... his word is gold to me. I'll still defend Cogs over Martin any day, whether he should have ever been on the team or not, is not an issue to me right now.

Incognito and Martin are irrelevant at this point. It has gone beyond that and into how we got here to begin with...it doesn't matter what really happened...

I may get ripped for saying this but I think it's a disgrace that Joe Philbin sits in the same office that Shula once did. I feel the same way about some of the other clowns that followed him. Can you believe Cam Cameron once occupied that office? Unreal.

Martin is conniving sissy. Martin has sent out signals that he is willing to settle I hope the Fins hold back settling until all Martins dirty laundry has been aired. Show him to be a liar.
I agree that Shula was taking a shot at Parcels and at Ireland.
Dam Hugienga. I hope he chokes on his Foie gras
This team has fallen a long way. Between the 1-15 year, revolving coaches, Parcels out dated approach, and under Irelands journeyman guidance, it is not surprising that we are disappointing and embarrassing.
this team has no choice but to clean house. Ireland, Philbin, Shermin, some assistants and Aponte all need to go.

Not to get too technical because I know what you are trying to say [you mean head coach's job not office], but I don't think Shula ever sat in the head coach's office at the practice facility at NSU in Davie. When he was coach they practiced at a college facility down in Dade County.

hmm are dolphins homers now going to bash the dolphins legend shula for speaking out on this? would not doubt it.
No, all he's done is comment on how he feels about the state of affairs. I agree with him. So does just about everyone. However, he did not say the gamble on Cog was a bad one.

It's a blueprint you should follow, sure. But plenty of teams have won with terrible people and they'll continue to.

Perfect example are the Oakland Raiders of the 70s. A very successful franchise legendary for the way they purposely collected everyone else's bad apples, and won with them. Almost every team in NFL history has had at least one hard case that they kept because they were essential for the success of the team. I think in most cases, coaches hope to rehabilitate these players, while at the same time benefiting from their play. Nothing new here.

Sh**, why stop there? Why not make all us fans root for the stinking Jets?

I agree with you completely! He has been accepted around here without proving a darn thing. He has done nothing special as far as scheming, game management, or player development. He was mostly acclaimed for his integrity and building a good respectable team...boy has that gone out the window!

Don't worry about getting ripped around here! It's the internet...
