sigh...Tim Tebow

Tebow isnt much more than the Wildcat, Beta Version 0.7. The fins surprised a few teams, but we all know how things turned for the wildcat once it was figured out. Pretty much a "down-waster"

I think even despite him being dubbed a "Winner", his body of work doesn't seem to me like it guarantees full effectiveness for even a few snaps per game. We've already witnessed some pretty terrible playing in the beginning of his games as he takes a while to get started, who's to say he can come off the bench and produce immediately in a special situation?

Tebowmania is going to end eventually. Defenses are going to figure out how to stop him. If he wants to be a franchise QB, he's going to need to be a better passer especially on 3rd down. He's winning because their defense is keeping games close against average offenses, but the second they play a team who scores points, he's useless.
Ye of little faith...

Maybe he improves his passing maybe he doesn't.

For me stats are nothing more then stuff used to fit ones opinion. What's more important? That he went 2/8 passing? Or the fact that he was a MAJOR reason they won the game on the last drive? Kind of like how people want to give all credit to Bush in Washington yet it was Mooore hitting 4 critical passes in the 4th quarter that ended up leading to Bush's 20 yard TD run.

The only stat that matters is the WIN. They had a passer in Kyle Orton. Couldn't win a game. Now with arguably the worst receiving core in Football and with their only legit WR traded away, Tebow is WINNING games.

He may have gone 2/8 he may have horrible completion %' but from what I see they are HUGE completions when he makes them.

Who cares about the rest when you are winning?

Once the league learns how to defend him and he suddenly starts losing, then you can truly critiscize his passing ability and say he's not a good QB. However, until he starts losing, him never getting better passing wise is just as much specualtion as he can get better passing wise

I find it amazing that people have so much faith that Tebow will fail, but the no faith in his ability to get better as a passer. I've never seen a player this criticized and scrutinized after only 8 starts and everyone he is convinced he will fail, even when he is winning in amazing fashion. Kid's got work ethic, discipline and every leadership trait you want in your quarterback. But he can't throw and will never be able to throw so lets ignore everything else he does.

Why should we have faith? Not only is he god awful passing the ball, but he's god awful passing the ball in a high school offense that will never sustain in the NFL. Imagine putting this guy in a real offense where he has to take snaps under center and read the defense. You know what, I'd rather not imagine it actually.

Come on Lynx..... You know the answer to that don't you? Not all of the critics, but the majority of them that hate and bash the guy do it for a specific reason and agenda and you know what I mean by that. Not all the critics but many.

I find it funny that in this same thread, people are bashing Tebow for the exact reasons many experts and posters said Cam Newton wouldn't transition well to the NFL. Yet somehow he can get better but not Tebow.

You are also on the site, where many people gave every excuse in the book for Henne's struggles, and now with Moore we look good and find every and any reason to negate what he is doing.

It' obvious why the majority dislike Tebow and have no faith. It's because of his faith. Otherwise, no one should be using Cam Newton as a comparison absolutely none.

We are also on the site where a decent amount of people were UPSET and ANGRY because Miami started winning.

So do you honestly believe you would get logical, rational critiscism or acceptance of Tebow on a site where the fans of a team hate the fact that the team they are a fan of are winning?

So, in a nut shell. You are convinced 100% Tebow cannot improve his passing?

I get and understand the doubt. But are you seriously implying that Tim Tebow is one of the few players in the NFL that in no way shape or form is able to get better at his position? He can't grow? Is that what you are saying?

Does that mean Gabbert/ Newton/ Dalton etc have all peaked as well. They will never get better? Or does that logic only apply to Tebow?

You cant learn how to be accurate if you could alot of these QBs would be good

You are making the same mistake that many of the biased analysts are making. they look at Tebow now and assert that he can't get better. Why not? Will cam ever stop throwing more interceptions than Touchdowns? Will Blaine Gabbert ever throw above 50 percent in his career? Why aren't those questions being asked of those guys? why is Tebow the only only one who is doomed to remain stagnant as a player? why do we think they will get better and he can't?

I can agree with this statement to an extent.

However, what they can teach is footwork. If at the very least he improves his footwork his ability to deliver a better ball will also get better. Thus his accuracy would increase a little as well

Of course he can improve. But it won't even be remotely close to good enough.

Why not? He has shown that it doesn't matter even if the defense knows he is keeping the ball he gets it done.

So even if he improves with just one play action pass a game leading to a big play that is huge.

You mean to tell me, with his scrambling ability, that if he is able to make a few more plays in the passing game it won't make a difference?

Like I said I get and understand the critiscism. I really do. But why with Tebow is it an absolute that he will never be good enough? It makes no sense to me. Writing is already on the wall with him.

Tell the defense on that team. Tell his teammates he will never be good enough and I guarantee you they will laugh at you.

His accuracy is among the worst I have ever seen. Mechanics among the worst I have ever seen. He can't read defenses well. And most importantly he's incapable of playing in a real offense. That high school offense Denver is running won't even last as long as the Wildcat did.

The problem with having him as a special packages QB is that he comes with a raving-mad following that will put as much pressure as they can to ensure he's the starter. It's like baggage, only the opposite, but in the end it's the same: a big off-the-field distraction
