King was a surprise cap-saving release from Oakland. He'll have no trouble resurfacing despite getting cut late in free agency and should remain one of the highest paid punters in the league. King would replace Ryan Quigley in Minnesota.

guaranteed his antics on and off the field played a significant role
In addition to his cap hit, King is known for out-kicking the coverage units. C. Patterson was a fantastic gunner in 2017 and made this aspect of King's game less of an issue. Patterson, of course, is now in NE.

Punter is definitely an underrated position, there were a hell of a lot of times last year when bad punting put us in unfortunate spots. With that being said, it's stupid to pay one a lot of money. It should be one of the easiest positions to scout so there's no excuse not to be able to find cheap ones every few years.
I don't see this team doing this as they let Parkey go find a better deal.
