I think people are beginning to bank on their HOPES that couch will come in and lead this team. After 5 years in this league as a #1 draft pick, he has done absolutely nothing to justify that pick. And he absolutely embarassed himself in last year's preseason. Just don't get your hopes up.

In all fairness, Couch didn't play for the Steelers or Pats he played with the Browns....know any great players from the Browns in the last 10 years?? I'm not trying to say sign Couch I'm just saying you can't evaluate him based on that system. I think seeing what he has can't hurt as long as it's pre-season.

1. Start Frank Middleton at RG. Move Hadnot back to center and go with that line. Middleton pancaked his man in the three series he was in there. That's the kind of thing we need. He's a mean guy and we need that attitude in there. He starts from now on.

2. Give Feeley the start with the number ones this week. He earned it. Ferrotte had his chance, now it's Feeley's. I wouldn't mind signing Tim Couch to the roster. Who knows. Maybe his arm was just hurt.

3. Set your four receiver set as:
1. Chambers
2. Boston
3. Booker
4. Welker

-With Gilmore and Thompson wrapping up the fifth and sixth spots.

4. Go with Diamond as your back up tight end. Couldn't tell if Diamond can block though. The call on Lee will be a tough one.

5. Start Crowder opposite Seau with Thomas in the middle. Those three can really hit. Spragan, Pope and Glenn cqan come off the bench.

6. Keep six RB's (Brown, Williams, Gordon, Morris, Evans and Martin). Sign Harris to the PS in case of injury. Unfortunate for Minor but we just don't have room.

7. Cut Turk and promote the rookie. I like Turk. He's a good guy, but he's shanking too many balls and we need a youngin' out there. The rookie looks pretty good.
I like most of your points. Not decided on Tim Couch though. I would bring him in a give him a workout, if he looks better that our two backups right now, go for it. Also not sure about the LB decision. Maybe starting Spragen would be better at first and bring Channing is off the bench until he has groomed a little more.

Not bad suggestions at all

i like em all except #6. Minor is definately better than gordon. Minor is good at sp. teams, gordon aint. Oh and Thompson prolly wont make the team

Why would Saban even care if he got a job elsewhere? Sabans job is to rebuild the dolphins franchise. he could care less about that punter if he didn't think he could help the team.

Because the kid played for Saban at LSU. SO he may be trying to help get the man a job.

Spragan will start; Don't forget the Turk and Mare connection

Turk is the holder for Mare. In the past Mare has struggled with new holders. That would likely be considered when looking at him.

Spragan will start because he is smart and a veteran. Crowder will play, but will likely spell Seau. Other things you suggested seemed ok.

No teams bring kickers in every year because they don't want to pay the high $$$ amount established kickers make. if the Kicker the eagles brought in shows he has good range and can make the clutch kicks than yes Akers will be gone. teams will gladly pay a kicker the minimum if he is good. rather than paying top $$$ for an established kicker.

That is the most ridiculous thing that I've ever heard......I don't care what kind if presason a young kid had.....a Super Bowl contending team isn't getting rid of a top-3 kicker because some pup just had a good preseason. I guess the Patriots would boot Vinatierri if a kid came in and proved he could make some clutch PRESEASON kicks (is there such a thing?)...."forget what you did in the SUPER BOWL Adam.....this kid got it done in the preseason."

I think that the main reason that all teams bring in extra kickers and punters is so that there are some available players who have NFL game expierience (even if it's only preseason) out there should an injury occur. Teams don't have backups at kicker and punter and need some viable options available when a guy goes down or if he suddenly goes Gramatica on them.

If it came down to adam vinitiary making big $$$ or keeping a key player like harrison, brady, dillion. you bet your *** they will keep the younger kicker.

fact is no coach is going to bring in a player to help him get a job with a DIFFERENT team. how would it benifiet Saban and the dolphins if he brought in a player to help him get a job with potentialy the bills, jets, or patriots? it wouldn't. that's why NO coach would bring in a player they did not think had a chance to help THERE team.

i agree with the first 6.

undecided on 7.

Its time for Turk to go. The rook belted a 57 yarder the other night. Last time Turk belted one more than 50 yards was when he was a REdskin. the rook saves us dough and he can do anything turk can and can chase down a returning TD better than the fat ***.

Feeley can hold. word is he is hanging with the kickers anyways. :rofl3:

I also believe that Minor makes this team. I just can't see cutting someone that can do so many different things for you.

Oh yeah, and I can't quite go with your O-line selection b/c Mcdugles can't block to save his life at RT. So, unless he can get his act together there will have to be some other line changes.
