Skylar is out of his league

I have been saying this for years, he may know the system but he can't function in the system. He's terrible!!

Skylar’s best effort ironically came in that playoff game against Buffalo. Since then his game performances have stunk and he has proven he doesn’t belong on an NFL roster.
He was 18/45 with 1 TD and 2 ints against Buffalo in the playoffs. Ya, he had a few drops in that game....but the TEAM kept him in there. He definitely did not even remotely play well.

I was watching the game with a Patriots fan friend and I said, when Skylar comes into a game bad things happen. Didn't take long to prove my point

We need to get a legit Back up next year. I wouldnt have mind Huntley if he was the backup all season and not on IR. But it's time to get new one in immediately start of OTA,s. I do like the Jones idea.

Skylar doesn’t deserve a single dollar of what he’s made in this league. He’s arguably the least valuable player in franchise history. I don’t even think he’s a capable CFL QB2. Should not be playing competitive football at all.

We need to sign Jimmy G in the offseason.

He is the best FA QB available who I think would be a good fit for this offense.

He is only 33 and makes a little over $3M this year.

I don't think there will be a huge market for him so he won't break the bank.

Then draft a QB in the later rounds to replace Skylar as QB3.

It seems like he is playing scared out there every time. We need to find anyone else at this point

He must be one hell of a practice player, or be great on the IQ/concept side.

That's how I remember it. Both were very ordinary. Thompson had one half where he didn't look trash and therefore won the backup role. Truth is neither looked like viable options.
I think there is a solid argument that we should have chased Darnold. Essentially the same system as San Fran.

And yet, that was his best effort which backs up the point that we need an NFL caliber QB 2.

Wild to think that the team went into the season thinking we were good at QB2 with Thompson.

If we had just won two of those very winnable games that Tua was out for, the whole outlook on the season would be much better and brighter.

Damn shame.
