Skylar is out of his league

It's pretty frustrating that had there been a serviceable backup, we wouldn't be needing a miracle end of season to sneak into thr playoffs as the last seed.

Wasn't Jarvis Landry a lefty QB? Is he around?

Sounds like hyperbole to me. Neither are good and neither should have been an option. Thompson was better than White in preseason but they shouldn't have been the only competition for QB2.

Skylar was better than Mike White.....and??? Was there a rule that stated these were the only 2 QBs the Dolphins could pick a backup QB from? After the 2nd preseason game and both looked like ass, Grier could have signed somebody else for competition for the job instead of waiting for Tua to get injured.

We need to get a legit Back up next year. I wouldnt have mind Huntley if he was the backup all season and not on IR. But it's time to get new one in immediately start of OTA,s. I do like the Jones idea.
Huntley is not much better than Thompson IMO

Snoop sounds better than Skylar. For a mobile QB, never seemed to take off with it.

He didn't look nearly as nimble as advertised, but I got the distinct impression McDaniel had no tweaks to his offense to play to that facet of Huntley's skillset.

Word on PFN was that ten teams have 'unofficially' reached out to Daniel Jones with one that wants him to play immediately. That could either be Dallas or the Raiders, although if I'm the Raiders I'd be out. They aren't going anywhere.

Point is, there are places he can go and have a better chance to get in this season than Miami.
If it's those 2 then I wager the raiders since they can afford his injury guarantees of something happens. Dallas is cap broken without adding more.

We need to sign Jimmy G in the offseason.

He is the best FA QB available who I think would be a good fit for this offense.

He is only 33 and makes a little over $3M this year.

I don't think there will be a huge market for him so he won't break the bank.

Then draft a QB in the later rounds to replace Skylar as QB3.
I could easily get behind Crapolo as backup if he passed a full health exam and workout, but I'd put his odds of doing so at 50/50. Next year we need two backups--one with NFL STARTING experience (like 15 or more games started) and another mid-to-late draft pick flyer to groom in practice.
