Skyler or Teddy

I never said he was Marino, I said he looked like he belonged on the field the way Marino did during the preseason. That is quite different than saying he is Marino, they are very different QB's, but there is something in this kid that screams "IT"

Pocket movement, processing, and his ball delivery have my attention. His physical body (core) isn't there yet, but that can be worked upon.
Lol, overhyping this dude

I think Ingold will turn out to much more valuable for this team this season than a third team QB who spends every week on the inactive list.
I do agree with you in regards to keeping Bowden in case of an emergency need at QB.

I'll also see Cethan Carter (ST/TE/FB) as being more valuable than Skylar

The fact is, if Tua goes down the Dolphins are hosed too. In fact I really don’t think any team in the NFL is in a situation where they can afford to lose their starting QB for the season or for many games during the season.
But it isn't that black and white. Missing a few games, and out for the season, are two different things.

The former is the more likely occurrence and should be planned for. The latter, as you intimate, would probably be a disaster regardless.

I think Baltimore may be the only one I can think of.

I agree. That’s why I have stated I am good with Bridgewater for a few games if Tua is injured and misses a game or three. I just don’t think any team, even the Dolphins can survive a season if they end up having to play their backup QB for the majority of the games.

I’ve flipped on Skylar.

I said TB early in camp. He’s ultra conservative but has proven he can win games in the NFL.

Now, I’d rather the Fins kept Skylar if it’s a choice between the two. The Dolphins gave him a huge audition and played him most of the preseason. He’s passed with flying colors.

TB makes most sense if Tua gets hurt in week 2 again like last year… but Skylar is the right choice to invest in this year and beyond.

Give me ST trade Bridewater to the Hawks, Panther, Texans or anyone not on our schedule.

I don’t see Tyler Huntley being able to replace Jackson for the Ravens and having much success. Of course the Ravens usually win with their defense and a strong running game. So they might be better off than the majority of the teams that rely on the passing game more than the running game to win games.

I don’t really seeing it being a choice between Bridgewater and Thompson. I see it more being a choice between Thompson and reducing the depth at another position on the team. I think it will be Tua and Bridgewater, 1 and 2 and Thompson will be the 3rd QB if they decide to keep him on the finale 53.

It's not really that I thinks Huntley is that great, I just think Jackson is fool's gold in the way his portrayed in the medias eyes. However I do think Huntley would be a better option at quarterback for at least a half a dozen teams in comparison to who their starters are.

Is this even up for debate? Skyler clearly outplayed Teddy this preseason. The Dolphins either find a spot on the roster for Thompson or trade Bridgewater. It doesn't matter what round he was taken in, see Tom Brady, the guy proved he can play. I think Teddy would draw interest from other teams with Seattle and Cleveland needing one at the moment. I think it makes sense to deal Teddy for a draft pick, then to lose Skyler to another team and watch him flourish on another team and then second guess the decision. Bridgewater does have more experience playing behind center, but there is a reason why he has been bounced around the league thus far. Is Teddy a upgrade over Jacoby, yes definitely, is he an upgrade over Skyler? I don't think so based on what we have seen thus far.

Keep Skylar as #2 and trade Teddy for whatever you can get. Cut neither.

You guys want the truth. No one outside of the fins fasebase even cares about what or how skylar has looked this preseason
That why the discussion is on this forum and not something being discussed in the National media. They would likely be laughing at how much interest Dolphin fans have in an old rookie 3rd string QB.

I believe Jackson is overrated too but I do give the offensive coaches in Baltimore credit for building an offense around a very unorthodox player like Jackson.
