Davis to me is interesting bc hes a Guard and can even play RT. just not sure how good he is. He's a mammoth at 6'6 345 lbs. at 32 and is said to be in the best shape of his life. He might have some good years left.
Gurode was voted as the 57th best player in 2011 by NFL Network and word is he will get cut (or pay cut which he has said he will not agree to).. He seems like the best option of this group but will he move to guard? He's also 32 and could be more than just a stopgap.
O'hara seems similar to Gurode but possibly a cheaper alternative. Would he be willing to play guard? He's also slightly "light" at 300 lbs. IMO, he has the body type of a center. He's older at 34 and would strictly be a stopgap.
Waters is someone that's been consistent for years but it's been very quiet on his end. Possibly retirement?
He graded out as the 12th best guard in 2011. He's also 34 and would be a stopgap but he is not injury prone which is a huge plus.
Max Starks was said to be overweight and out of shape by the Steelers on August 2nd. No thanks.
Who to take?..
