so does anyone still think this team has a shot at the playoffs?

Sure it's still possible to make the playoffs. But right now I'm just focused on the Dolphins getting on a winning streak, and I'll think about the playoffs later.

Well, lets see we started 2-0 last year and didn't. What makes you think the same basic team starting 0-2 will?!?!?

12% of teams that have started 0-2 made the playoffs, now go list the 88% who have not, and get back to us. That should kep you busy for a while.

Guess which team in 08 was one of those 12% Now when you figure that out come back to us =)

Roflmao! At the people saying our schedule gets easy lol! Wasn't that the battle cry playing Buffalo, Cleveland, and Detroit down the stretch at home last year?

Laughable.... no coaching, fractured locker room, below average QB, below average OL in decline, no depth, poor defensive execution and play in the AFC East....

c'mon man....

The above realities do not the exception make.... for this team to overcome the overwhelming odds of making the playoffs

Right!!

1-15 season before
New coaches
Horrible O-line
Injury plagued QB
bad depth as well

Yeah, 08 was WAYYYYYY different then this year lol!!!

I can't help it if people want to keep touting 88% don't make it when just 3 years ago Miami made it as the 12%. Keep brushing it off with your excuses

Yea it was . . . but all we have is paper to go on . . . and on paper the games "look" easier. Obviously if Miami plays like they have been playing, that KC game may be for the #1 pick.

It was the Dolphins, but we don't have the easiest schedule in the nfl this season to help. I wish it would happen again, but i am not going to be counting on it.

What's the statistic??
Teams that start out 0-2 have a 12% chance to make the playoffs?
I definitely don't like those odds.

It means you can zero in on Super Bowl XLVI. Four of the past five Super Bowl winners all started the year 2-0 (the exception was the 0-2 Giants who upset the Patriots). Oh and every Super Bowl runner-up was also 2-0.
In 2010, eight teams started 0-2. Only the Rams got close to .500, closing at 7-9. A year earlier, nine teams started 0-2. Again, no playoffs for any of them, although the Panthers and Titans clawed their way back to 8-8 records.

Well..I could win the lottery tomorrow and wake up with a 10 inch dong as well. It's not happening though..
well u could easily wake up with a 10 inch dong only problem it might be attached tp another man and im sure thats not what u really want lol

Cause I watch them to win not to find out who we're going to draft.
I think we all "watch" them to win. The problem is that for the last 10+ years, they have been a let down, year after year. I have never been and never will be on the loose to win a pick band wagon. I just trudge along hoping they win week to week. However the realist in me says this team is in for quite a few more years of losing. Until we get the mindset of a winning organization, we will continue to muddle through mediocrity (or just below it).
