so does anyone still think this team has a shot at the playoffs?

So you want to make the playoffs and then crushed like we did that 11-5 year?

What's the ****ing point?

You get a bad draft pick and the 2 years after that were useless seasons...

We need to suck to get the trash out.

if we were able to make the playoffs, why is it just a given that we would get crushed just because we did vs the ravens?

i would think most people watch their team year in and year out to make the playoffs and to see what happens from their, not to watch the team go 2-14, 3-13.

however, if we were in a situation where we were like 5-10, 4-11, etc, then losing for draft picks can be something to hope for, especially with Andrew luck coming out.
 
Simple answer: no.

You figure four of the six playoff spots will come from the AFC East and AFC North (Patriots, Jets, Ravens, Steelers). We'd have to finish ahead of one or both of whoever finishes second in those divisions. The other spots will go to the AFC West winner (possibly Chargers) and AFC South winner (possibly Texans). That's not even considering other teams that could be in the mix like the Raiders, Bills, Titans, etc.

It's not going to be worth it to finish with 6-8 wins, only to land a mid-1st round pick and draft another cornfed lineman or special teamer.

4 or 5 wins means you're out of position to draft Andrew Luck, unless you're selling the farm to obtain the #1 pick.

but seriously, do we have a shot? well at 0-2, we are not mathematically elimanted by any stretch of the imagination.

that being said, with the lack of intensity this team is playing with, coupled with the fact we cant win a single game at home, its going to be impossible.

id say right now we have a 10% chance. hopefully they surprise us though. im not giving up hope, because whats the point of giving up hope until their is actually mathematically no hope? as long as u watch the games every sunday, u should have hope.

for the people who believe we have no shot, its 100% understood with the way we have been playing and with the horrible coaching we have leading our team. i

ill admit, its just in my blood, we can suffer the worst possible loss, and after that game ill feel so down, but once kickoff comes around, like this sunday, i feel excited again as their is new hope. maybe its just me.
