So how does it work now w/ Ireland? Does he get another 4 yr term like the President?

The speculation about the real reason why Parcell's was let go, surrounds the Pat White and Jake Long draft picks. Before last year many ppl thought the Dolphins made a mistake drafting Long over Ryan. You all can continue to think your demi-God Parcells was perfect, but remember this is the guy that asked to pick the groceries when he's cooking the meal. He's a control freak, and common sense tells me he made the choices, and because Ireland was retained, there must have been some disagreement between the TWO men.

He took responsibility for the pick but doesnt mean Ireland was not on board with the pick. Parcells is a douche but he has never shirked from taking the blame. Parcells obviously was not perfect since he hired Ireland and Sparano

Are you sure you want to stick your neck out that far? Because when I have time, I'll find it. It was all over the place weeks after the Tuna left. It has also been on NFL Network and ESPN many times since then. It's called speculation, same as the sources that say the Orton trade was called off by Ross.

Sorry I'm not playing your game, I've played it too long already today. Same OLD game from you for 10+ years now.

Believe it or not, honestly I could care less from this point. Disengage common sense and think Ireland would be here, if there wasn't disagreement between the TWO men.

Ya ya you love the Phins, 10+ years of bashing them, but you love em. If the Dolphin were your wife, you'd be in jail for abuse.

all he asked was that you show were we either fired or relieved parcells of his duties... thats not really asking much IMO....

Your the one trying to present your opinion as fact without anything to back it up.
I dont mind disagreement but you said we let go Parcells and noone has seen anything that even remotely makes a case for that.
even Shula said he was dissapointed that Parcells quit on the phins. Not one source has said Parcells was forced out.
 
Unless we have a top 5 pick next year, sadly, we're stuck with Ireland for a few more mediocre seasons.

Well alot depends on how we do this year and if the qb's he passed on do well. I think this is kind of a show me year for Ireland and if we have a losing season he may be gone .

I jut don't think it makes much sense to give Philbin and the rest of his staff only one year unless they are a complete disaster. What kind of GM is gonna come here under the caveat that they have to keep the coaching staff in place?

Promote our own guy who was getting looks anyway. Philben should get three years unless he does a cameron but his wagon should not be hitched to ireland.
