So......how was Hard Knocks??

I can't wait for next week. I'm so ready for the next episode.

my fav part was seeing reggie still working after practice. This guy has made me do a 180 on him after last years season. Ill admit i was pretty nonchalant about him joining our team. I thought he was a scrub.

oh and seeing Lauren Tannehill was good too :-)

There was some good and some bad. Pouncey said something kinda disturbing and there was a few things about Philbin that brought up some red flags, but I did love the fact that after the conversation Philbin had with Chad, an assistant asked Philbin if Chad didn't conform could it affect his status with the team and Philbin said "yeah it could, it absolutely could". Shows good leadership, and that he won't be ran over.

The show left me really rooting for Moore to win the starting qb job. Little things matter, like when DG fumbled a shotgun snap that was right to him and he tried to blame it on Pouncey. Players see things like that, and it really makes a difference. I will say that Pouncey has a problem getting the ball back consistantly in the same spot. I spoke about this some last year, but it really makes the QB have to concentrate on the ball rather than the defense, it is something that the center HAS to get more consistant at, IMO.

All in all it was a great show and it made me want to watch about another 3 or 4 hours of it. It really gave you a feel of what was going on behind the scenes. Kinda made ya understand why Vontae is no longer starting. Can't wait til next week.

Care to clarify?

First time watching the Show and my impression was "Meh". Started pretty slow maybe because I have little interest in Players' wives and kids. Marginally more interested in the dogs.

Had some funny moments later.

Liked Philbin, best part was him and Chad talking about repping the organization. Would have really liked him if he had told Dawn Aponte "Surely you can't be serious" when she was talking about letting Ryan go back into the draft.

Is the QB coach younger than Garrard?

Biggest groaner was the install of the "Champions play here" signs.

I think he's saying that Pouncey said something disturbing and Philbin had a few things that brought up red flags. Two separate incidences. But I'm scratching my head too....can't think of anything. ?

Maybe it was something he said while getting the massage? I don't know. Challenging the rookie was no big deal. Dawn Aponte is the one with egg on her face. I don't call the shrewd Nublar, I call that stupid.

Jake Long sounded like a true leader out there. Also the players appeared to be more comfortable with Matt Moore, but that is most likely because he was there for an entire season and the other quarterbacks are new. Pat Devlin is about as significant as a parked car.

I heard Aponte speak for that one sentence, and I can already tell I hate her.

Yeah he played for Sherman at A&M.

I was glad to see hows training camp is going but overall im kinda dissappointed that hbo seems to want to make it more about the players personal lives than making the show all about training camp.

My observations
-Jake long, true leader, i think i saw jared odrick accidently hit the qb and jake long called him out on it, than jared apologized.
-Vontae, a little out of shape but i think some of it has to do with the injury he had in otas. I think he will be fine with philbin pushing him. He is still our best player on defense, just needs to be challenged more. These habits go back to last season, u know our player being out of shape week 1 against new england? Again, phiblin is going to get vontae in shape.
-Mike Pouncey, things got a little chippy on 1 play and pouncey had some words for the dt, his energy is amazing, a great pick by ireland so far.
-Dawn aponte, dont like her stance on the tannenhill negotiations at all and from what i saw neither did philbin or ireland. I can see why cleveland got rid of her.
- Chad johnson looked good out there, fast as ever and caught some very good balls.
- tannenhill, looks physically gifted out there and more athletic than any qb on our team.
- apparently we got some new tight end who runs a 4.3, but he cannot block at all.
-Jared Odrick, looking tough to block out there, sacked garrard on 1 play early in the show.
-coaching staff seems to be united and very proffessional.

thats all for now, last but not least, i really like coach philbin, i hope he is very successful as the dolphins new head coach.

Of course the first show is more content on the players ... they gotta make non-fin fans interested and educate who is who for the play on the.field!

My thoughts are that HBO wants to bring in an audience that might not necessarily be part of the fan base. They want the show to be interesting on multiple levels. Naturally we as fans want more details than a lot of folks will care about.
