So is David Cornwell going to go after Rex Ryan and Rob Turner too?

Gholston would have had to take the Martin route and walk out/file a complaint, too bad for him he didn't cause isn't he out of the league now?

This was debated on first take when it happened I believe, but if you want the media to get on this now like the Martin story, the Jets could just deny it and say the whole thing was scripted to add drama to the tv show and no one would prove that statement wrong even if untrue.

This isn't about getting the Jets in trouble. It's about showing that this is completely common and ordinary.
The MAIN issue is Ireland's incompetence in drafting such a soft kid in the second round then forcing him to play. For that he and Philbin should be fired. Taking a kid that can't play and is physically and mentally weak and making him block NFL beasts.

The SECONDARY issue is Martin going public like a sissy.

...not this

I'm not blaming the Jets. I'm calling out the media pundits who are a bunch of hypocrites. I guarantee you we could dig up articles from the same morons discussing the Jets during that season of Hard Knocks I'm referring to, but no mention of the "Code Red" Rex issued.

Nothing Cog has done comes remotely close to it.

you guys just don't see the big picture here. this isn't about one incident. its about an alleged culture of sustained harassment and abuse towards jonathan martin. its not going to just be one incident that, when looked at in a vacuum, would be considered relatively minor. it's about years worth of minor incidents that, when compiled together, will be used as an attempt to show that a hostile work environment had been created and sustained. i know it must suck to have to watch your football team go through this, but the blame should be put on your front office and coaching staff for not monitoring the situation and for putting a complete retard like incognito in a position of leadership and authority

When you scold one of your kids for doing something wrong, and they say, "Well so and so did it too," does that stop you from disciplining your kid? Whiny threads just serve to make our fan base look weak and pathetic.

Thank You for saying what needs to be said....

Anybody remember this?

Anyone out there with any sense knows this stuff has been going on for years in the NFL. For whatever reason the social climate in the good ole' USA changes and what was overlooked in the past is now forbidden behavior. Think about the old Bounty Bowls courtesy of Buddy Ryan and his hatred for Jimmy Johnson and the Cowboys in 1989. The same behavior today resulted in a lifetime suspension for Gregg Williams and a 1 year suspension for Sean Payton. It's seemingly unfair for the Dolphins that the Incognito/Martin mess has been blown so out of proportion that heads will roll when we can look back at other similar situations where nothing was done. Why now?? Who really knows??

I'm sorry, is there proof somewhere ON TAPE of Richie Incognito being asked to go beat a player up on the team for money?

This isn't about that. This is about the childish responses that keep coming on this issue. If the league wants to deal with the Jets, let them deal with the Jets. That has no bearing on what is happening with Miami. And for the Miami fan base to keep harping on about "well this team did that" and "this team did this" is embarrassing ...more embarrassing than that in which team is embroiled.

It is important, because it's the hallmark of being a hypocrite - which the media is right now. This organization is being taken to task and turned into the whipping boy ...... all over over what is effectively obscene, vulgar trash talking when there were bonafied physical "BULLYING" instances on display a few years ago in which players were being paid to fight another player.

What's funny is when Incognito's team unleashes their texts which show Martin partaking in the trash talking, the media is going to run with the convenient excuse "Oh he was just trying to fit in" some more.
