So t-hill must have done SOMETHING right...

He threw a perfect deep ball to Dion Sims who dropped it.

I've noticed the majority of people who bash Tannehill constantly defend Mike Wallace hardcore. Its perfectly fine for wallace to let the ball go right thru his hands or not get a second foot down but Tannehill threw a ball slightly behind wallace so he has accuracy issues.

On the Pats forum they were talking with begrudgingly admiration about how surprising it was that Tannehill could get punched the mouth only to bounce right up and back.

Tannehill started nervous but got much better as the game went on.

He made some had decisions, again, then he stopped. He really missed some throws, though. When we made it 23-20, he had missed a throw to Clay on that 3rd & goal that really shoulda been a TD. He also thee the ball out of bounds on that out& up when Wallace got open. His Int was awful too, but besides that, he played fine. He was good enough for what Miami needed today; but he'll have to play better to win some other games. If he plays like this every game, though, then we're in trouble. Sometimes your QB does have to be 'all that', but today was not one of those days.

Take those goggles off and throw them away.... they're causing you to see only one-third of the real story.

Tannehill just isn't the story of this game to me. He was up and down. He needs to play better and with more consistency. We flashed enough and Lazor's offense looked promising enough that it could just be a matter of time to settle in.

Two of Tanny's best passes were dropped. An absolute DIME to the endzone that hit Sims on both hands. Dropped.

And then another dime in traffic to hit Clay in stride. Dropped.

Clay and Sims both showed up as very pedestrian TEs in a system that would give big plays to TEs if they stepped up.

There were a few dropped passes today, he had a good game overall though.
the INT was bad but he bounced back nicely, and Sims should have caught that TD pass.

Quite literally, he got a hand under the chip strap on one roughing the paser penalty.

First, it is impossible to compare him to last year. Lazor's scheme is significantly more friendly to the QB.

RT really struggled with ball placement. He was better in the second half, but he needs to get better with this aspect of the game. He made good decisions with the ball today. I definitely see improvements.

Lazor definitely has pushed him to increase his play speed. His improved play speed prevented two or three sacks. I expect part of this improvement is the offensive scheme, but I truly believe Lazor has done a good job of pressuring Tannehill during training camp and practice.

This was not a good game for RT, but we still won the game. That is a big improvement for the team.

Man, he should have had two more TDs with the Sims drop and Wallace's failure to drag his feet...

Did anyone notice how he got in the face of Lamar Miller when he stopped his route? Never would have seen that from him in the previous years....

The deep pass to Wallace in the end zone was on Wallace. He got one foot down and then took a very sizable step out of bounds with the other foot. That's just lack of awareness by the WR. WRs in the NFL make sideline, back of the end zone, toe touch catches every week. That's something they practice all the time. I guarantee you Wallace is upset with how he played, and knows he missed on some big plays and cost the team points. He's a professional though, he should be able to bounce back. The positive to all of this is that if you take away the drops and miscues by the WR/TEs, tannehill would've had 250+ yards and 4tds. And he looked really good in the 2nd half/4th quarter.

Let's not forget, and thankfully this didn't need to be used as an excuse, but this was the first game T-hill has played in a different offense in 3 1/2 years at playing the QB position. He played pretty damn well and helped us to 33 points.
