So tired of reading on here about how we are good at WR

How much did things change by getting Wallace?

No, he's not Megatron, duh.... We need to cut all of our receivers, trade for 3 AJ Greens and 5 Andre Johnsons. Put 3 on the practice squad and trade RT for a first rounder and then trade that first rounder for Tom Brady then press save.....

Drafting a touted receiver is no different than drafting a touted lineman or running back. Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall and Andre Johnson have a combined one Super Bowl appearance and less than five playoff victories.

And NOT drafting touted skill players in lieu of "value picks" in the same timeframe has netted the Dolphins franchise one playoff appearance AND NOT A SINGLE ****ING PLAYOFF WIN in fact not even close to a playoff win (the one playoff appearance was an abortion of a game), and even worse half a decade without a winning season. I don't see how drafting BPA would make this team any worse than the last 15 years+ of stupid drafting has left this franchise I really don't.

We can upgrade that later. We need the next Fitzgerald, Megatron. They don't come around very year. OL we can get later.

And how many superbowls and playoffs games has those teams won with those guys?
Qb's make the Wr, not the other way around.

Build the trenches to an elite form and then go after the decorations.. Coaching is key..

Still more Superbowl appearances and playoff victories than Jake Long, Joe Thomas, Trent Williams, Tyron Smith, and Matt Kalil. Guess that means nobody should ever draft a lineman high?

If you are going to spend a high draft pick on a lineman(which i dont support), then it should be on a left tackle. Ignoring the fact that there probably wont be a left tackle available for us at 19, we just spent $46 million on that position.
Contrary to the myth this website is currently spreading as quickly as possible: the draft isnt there to fix needs. Its there to get talented players. Because teams will always need talented players. Common sense dictates that selecting talented players at impact positions is a lot more valuable then grabbing talented players at positions that rarely make a difference. As well, its been proven over and over again that you can find competent lineman later in the draft.

How many wins did Jake Long get us? How many wins has Mike Pouncey secured for us? We've spent the 1st overall pick, the 15th overall pick, a second round pick, 2 third round picks, a fourth round pick, a sixth round pick, and traded a late round pick for another lineman(and all of this ignores the +$100 million we've spent on free agents) and people still havent learned the lesson yet. We use up all our resources on that position group, run out on the field with former 4th round picks at receiver/tight end, and fans are baffled at why we average 17 points a game. We need playmakers at playmaking positions and the best way to get said playmakers is by grabbing the most talented players we can.

Passing touchdowns doubled from the previous season.

we had over 100 more pass attempts and over 100 less rushing attempts. and our rush tds were cut in half. wallace made a difference but lets not go crazy.

Amen bro.

When its a team's turn to select, they should be interested in drafting IMPACT players. What position they play dosent matter so long as it is a difference maker.

Each team needs several guys on each side of the ball that are true difference makers. Guys on offense who command respect and attention from the opposing defense. Pass catching weapons at any skill position that demand double teams and or extra players on defense to be on high alert for them and know where they are on the field at all times.

Defensively youre looking for leaders and playmakers. Players who must be double teamed. Guys who the offense specifically designs blocks for. In the secondary you want guys who make big plays, force turnovers or are capable of completely erasing an opposing offensive player.

Those are the type of players you should be looking to draft with each and every selection. Occasionally you are going to have to draft some corn, but as you say, spending a 1st rounder on anything but a top notch LT is just silly. There are plenty of good linemen who are taken in later rounds that can help make up a solid group of 5.

You get a good QB and then get yourself 3 of the type of players I described on each side of the ball and youre ready to compete. Those type of players make everyone around them much better by making their jobs so much easier.

As it stands now, there isnt a position on this roster where we couldnt use one of these special players. We should be on the hunt for them. Draft players you think you can hit a homerun with.

If the phins need a clue, Skov is one of those players available this year. Skov will be the heart and soul of someone's defense for years to come. I hope its ours.

Nix from ND is also a special player. Sure we have talent on the DL, but adding a player like Nix can do wonders for the defense.

Draft to add special players. Drafting for need is for teams who continue to have needs year in and year out.

So we should draft Nix even tho we have StarksMtchell, and Odrickand that makes more sense then Z.Martin who is just as highly toughted and fills a need? I agree about Skov but he is a third rder. If Pryor is still there i could understand waitin to draft right tackle,or even Shazier other than that Martin is bpa
