So, was I really that negative...or am I right?

LOL, I have been a fan since 1983, don't elevate yourself to something your not. I love the Dolphins as much as anyone here and will cheer for them if they have a great year or a horrible year. In fact I HOPE I AM PROVEN WRONG. I will suck it up and admit that I was wrong if we have a great year. I doubt you would do the same if we finish under .500, you would probably try to spin it in a positive way and criticize people that don't agree with you.
You're damn right I would see the positives in ANY season. Why would I waste my time pointing out the obvious? Too easy. Not my style.

One of the positives would be that losing seasons would cleanse the fanbase of the weak supporters.

Did I say that was you??

"As I said answer the question, If the Fins uniforms suddenly became a Bills uniofoem what would you be saying about them at this point? Be honest."

What?!?!?

The team could go 1-15 and I would still be here backing the team the next year, and also would still state if I didn't like a move that the team made.

What?!?!?

Let's try again, If this whole Fins team was actually the Bills, would you still be saying all the positive things you are saying now or would you be slamming the Bills fans for being optomistic.

It doesn't matter if the bills had a team full of All-Pros....I'd slam them for being optimistic.

Mod Edit: Keep the personal attacks down man, that's Rule #1. Do it again and you're taking a short vacation...

What kind of positives are there with Wanny as the Head Coach?
I find it rather ironic (and a little humorous) that some of the "real fans" lashed out at those who took a real look at the franchise and posted how we viewed things to be. This whole franchise has been turned into one big **it sandwich.
I'm not going to enjoy watching the final match being thrown on the bonfire by Wanny. It doesnt bother me at all that fans come back after week one and say "told you so". Think for a second if they were in fact correct. So what if they are the masters of the obvious. Thats what I love about this board. The difference of opinion between all of the fans of the Dolphins franchise. Say whatever you want to about my posts, I dont get offended or insulted by it.

:roflmao: Well yea I know that.
:chuckle:

I get your point but, I would know as much about them then as I do now...which is nothing.

Fin-atic, I've read your posts. It's not that you are being realistic, or even that you may be right that makes the "homers" on this board attack you. It's the fact that you never have anything good to say. You are always negative.

Take Lamar Gordon... you say he isn't dominant. How do you know? You've watched him in one game. He's better then you think.

AJ Feeley, you say he isn't anything special. How do you know? How long did it take for Rich Gannon to come into his own? Grant it, we don't have years to waste on this guy to get his head straight, but at least have an open mind.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Dolphins will struggle to reach 8-8. However, I'm excited by Gordon, by AJ, and the possibility that oline can gell, and we could possibly exceed 10-5.

It's not your realism that wears us "homers" down, it's your consistently painful pessimistic point of view when there are alternative more optimistic perspectives that are equally realistic.

Amen brother

Miami has had a top 5 defense the past 5 years. Miami has had a top running offense with Ricky Williams. Miami has budding stars with Chambers and McMichael. Miami has some good, young O-Linemen that just need some experience (IMO), to prove their worth.

Ricky Williams has been the catalyst for your **** Sandwich. Up until Ricky Williams did his thing, the FO went out and got Feeley and Boston to help a poor passing offense. Drafted and got free agents to assist an ageing and slowing defensive backfield. I believe the team was poised to, in Jimmy's words, "be something special" this year. No you can claim responsibility for your "real world" views now, but I hope you soon realise that your world is a dark and unsatisfying one.

Its only one game. Nothing more and nothing less. We may get better or we may not. But it does prove one thing. Maybe, just maybe, before all you homers jump me and others for being "negative" and calling us "bad fans", maybe it has nothing to do with being a fan of the Fins. It has to do with being a fan of the game and knowing the game well enough to be objective and see the trouble. As of game one everything I said:

-Wanny shold have been fired
-Fiedler is not the answer and should have been cut.
-AJ is better, but unproven and green because he has only been a backup
-Gordon may be okay but he is not dominant.
-This team failed to improve its primary needs for two years running, QB and OLine
- And Wanny was making a huge mistake by not naming starters because they could not get any cohesion.

And all through it I stressed that I AM a fan and I just want the team to be successful. What I saw today (I was there...thanks Phinphreak!) was one of the most embarrassing Dolphin teams ever.

I do like AJ better than Fiedler. But if this line doesn't block better, and we can't run then it will be irrelelvant. Because it takes a special QB to carry a team. AJ may be decent, but he is not special.

Lets hope this is the bottom and it goes up from here. I wonder if any of you homers (you know who you are!) are man enough to show up and say "we were wrong!" :shakeno:

God please let this team find itself.
Being right in some of your points doesn't mean you weren't or aren't negative. I'm not saying it makes you any less of a fan than anyone else, but the constant negativity is really tiresome.

You know this thread is perfect. It proves so much and tells so much. Most of you who are attacking me are just proving my point.

The point of this thread is not my opinions about the team, it's the way you guys attack. If you read you see there are plenty who have simialar views. Frankly I don't care what some of you think. I am a fan. I was at the game and I was running around high fiving and cheering with everyone in our section when things went well. Unfortunatley that was only a few times.

I say plenty of positive things when they happen. When we play well I say it and I enjoy it. The statements made here that I am negative even when we win, are just a flat lie. You guys are lieng left and right on some of your claims about me. The fact is there are three or so fundamentally poor things about this team and they have not fixed them for two years. So I keep pointing it out everytime they miss the opportunity. And those same things are what keeps us from winning. What is wrong with that?

Like I said there are plenty of people here who have similar points of views. So they and I can share comments and thoughts and none of yo have to participate. Ignore us. We don't ask for or need your approval.

...[obscenities that shall not be posted]...

I hope you relished the opportunity to write this drivel. The only thing you mentioned that I think you should hold on to is this "at the end of the day our goal should be to win a Super Bowl". But the fact that hate and rage clouds your mind solves the equation for everyone to see.
