So was this Jeff Irelands best draft?

Best draft Ireland has had? No doubt in my mind. Grade Him.

You guys literally hired Tony Sparano to run your offense and drafted a WR for his blocking.

well ya know what the best part of al lthis smack talk is? at the end of the year we'll find out who was right. i ppersonally don't like sparano running the offense. hopefully he proves me wrong.....but i doubt it. i hated him with the fins (well i actually loved him because you guys were mostly a non-factor with him). one thing he seemed to be bale to do though was get you the players to play hard even when it was apparent that it was alost cause. we'll see.

Absolutely a good draft. We FINALLY addressed the most important position in football. Not a fan of the Martin pick, but I can live with it. I just pray it's the last high pick we spend on the OL for a while. Love the later round picks, especially Kaddu. Egnew was solid too.

He gets a lot of credit for this, and I'm not sure why. I saw several games where they quit on him, most clearly against your team in the first meeting of the year. Once Revis returned that interferception for a TD, they flat out quit.

THANK YOU. The players flat out QUIT at the end of 2010. That alone should have had him fired.

I would've quit too after the refs let Mr.overrated get away with rape.

what were you guys 1-5 and then came back to win the division? i'd have to say he deserves some credit for that. thats just the most obvious example

I say without question and if you match it with last year I would say that there is great young talent here to build on. I am not counting on next year being a magical playoff year. I accept that we're rebuilding and I like what I'm seeing. Use next year to get some of these guys some experience and playing time, then go through another year of Free Agency and another Solid draft, then let Tannehill step in in 2013 with a solid OLine, playmakers at RB, TE, and WR and a solid Defense, and I'd say 2013 could be the beginning of our rise.

we'll see.

this was the best draft in the fans eyes. some of the same people who say "i'll wait 3 years to see how the draft panned out" it was a good draft for the fans b/c it was skill players and a few UM guys.

I think it was pretty good - we got our QB of the future - IF he develops, b/c as of right now the kid is not ready i warn you.

We got a SOLID right tackle - that is prob my favorite pick.

Got a guy who can be a pass rusher and who is stout agains the run

Got a "seam busting" tight end, although i dont see him as a starter right off the bat

got a steal at RB so thats good.

Did not adress the Guard position or much more of the defense. It looks good, hopefully it all pans out, and it is going to largely depend on this coaching staffs ability to develop players.

guys, Tanney is not going to beat out the 2 vets this summer, unless the coaches purposly do it to get him experience and toss the season, which i dont think Ross is going to like considering his ticket problems, and the ignorance of this fan base. If tanney goes in he will not look good and most fans will call him a bust quicker than they call him a top 10 qb right now. CHILL OUT. watch the guy against the solid competition he had in college - he was a "50/50" qb all the way.

fickle fickle phins fans man. easy to make em happy easy to make em hate you. relax and take it slow.

I like this draft and will hold back on the enthusiasm until I see how these Draftees and UDFA's compete and IF they are able to make the team. On paper this looks like a very solid draft with the potential to be the best in a very long time in Miami. I'm impressed with how Ireland has broken the cord from his Parcells days and has taken the team in a different direction in his 1st two drafts post BP. I'm sure IF BP was still here, many of these players would NOT have been drafted. It wouldn't surprise me that the bottom of the dept chart at WR gets a massive over haul with Cunningham, Matthews and Fuller now here to compete. Miller will take most of the PR and KO return duties away from Bess, so he is able to fully acclimate himself into the WCO. Miller offers intriguing potential for scheming and varied formations to run against an opponent. Miller will beat out Slaton!!! Vernon will become the hybrid rusher who oozes pass rush ability. Martin will eventually be the starting RT, with added strength and should bookend with Long for the next decade. Overall I'm a happy Dolfan today. Lets hope these last 2 drafts help shed new lite on Ireland as a Gm.

Keep holding onto 2008. Plenty of fans here mistakenly did as well. You don't have Pennington, you don't have the wildcat (which Sparano didn't come up with) to catch teams off guard, and Brady is playing. Oh, and now you have to deal with Mario Williams vs Wayne Hunter. Hey, maybe Sparano will bring in his boy Colombo to help out?

bets draft ever? lol. you guys wasted a 1st round pick on a qb who might possibly be ok in 2015. the fins will be in the cellar like usual this year and you guys will look back on this offseason as the year it REALLY went downhill. you have no qb, no wr's.......what do you really have? a new OT......with strength issues. congrats!!!!!

he has already been defined as a questionable Gm at best. this draft will just confirm it.

Dude, we didn't need a franchise quarterback to run off a 21-play, 94-yard drive that broke your team's back last time we played you, which also happens to be the last time we beat you.

The Wildcat was put together on the team flight after yet another Sparano loss, by a quarterbacks coach who came up with it after Sparano admitted he didn't know what to do. That is the offensive coordinator the Jets have hired. You know-- the offensive line guru who brought in Columbo.

Actually no, the Wildcat was put together by Bill Parcells in the ESPN studios before he even took the job. That's why the first guy he hired was actually DAVID LEE.

The offensive coordinator the Jets got is the guy who refused to throw a hail mary at the end of a half one time because he was afraid that the other team would run it back for a score. The guy who thought it was great to keep dialing in fades to Brian ****ing Hartline in the end zone. etc.

David Lee, the quarterbacks coach under Sparano, brought it from Arkansas. It's a single wing formation, which was invented by Pop Warner.

Be that as it may, next season the Jets have a strategy that will take them to the Super Bowl. They're going to pray over field goals.
